No Data connection but full signal

Part of the frustration for me is the intermittency of the problem. It makes it very difficult to report. So, I would open the iPad, get the no connection issue, so then I turn it off completely, turn it on and try again. Sometimes this works, sometimes not. And then you keep trying and the problem goes away spontaneously. By the time I have finished troubleshooting errors on my side, it is just easier to use something else. And when you think to report the problem, it has suddenly gone away.

I bought an 8ta sim today to test speed in my area. Their website states no coverage around me but my data sim picks up 2 bars reception.. bought a data bundle and tested speeds and getting around 1Mb speed. thats great for me for browsing the web. Put in my cell c sim which has 2GB data remaining and cant even log into speedtest.net.

8ta looking good now

Well, I have a strange situation at home, 2x E1752 Cell-C modems, 2x Cell-C SIM cards, both bought at the same time at the same store.

Each one attached to a separate computer, on the same desk. One connects fine the other a foot away has full signal, 30kbps download, and 1.3mbps upload ...

Check the IP range on both devices. One of the IP ranges is congested

anyone know the service menu command to change the HSDPA/HSUPA settings on the Samsung Galaxy S4??

YES FOUND IT :)

For those of you having the zero data on full signal, I have something that will help a bit. From what I can see in the last hour, Im getting a LOT LESS connectivity issues using HSDPA only, and disabling HSUPA.

From the Dialer :

*#0011#
MENU -> press Back
8 (Phone Control)
3 (NAS Control)
5 (Revision Control)
2 Change Revision
2 Release 5 (HSDPA ONLY)

Screen shoult read, HSDPA ON, HSUPA OFF

MENU -> press END

How successful has this been for you? Have you experienced any times of no throughput after this settings change?

This tread just proves one point - we were all stupid to sign up with Cell C. Rather than complaining, let's warn others and try and get out of our contracts!

It is now the 4th month. Month 1 hardly any throughput.
Month 2-3 throughput only when you are lucky.
2 weeks ago - zero throughput for a week.
Last weeks - troughput only when lucky.

The worst part is that Cell C just denies that they have issues. I have spoken to a friend that is a senior Cell C employee.

If all denies the issue, it will NOT be rectified. Ensure you make an opportunity an RUN! Get yourself another provider!

+ 1000
Its now been 5 months for me. This situation has gone from ridiculous to beyond ridiculous. I honestly cant see any improvements.

Since I disabled hsupa and hspa I've had no issues. Not ideal but it's workable
