O busy reading poetry

Come now Paul, It's - "Oh Look, found some poetry"

Now the question is, I wonder who the other backbone provider is, Considering you were in Sandton that leads me to believe you were visiting No Solutions. You were just there to steal their free wifi weren't you!?

Fscking hating this http downloads. Needed to download a 10mb file, taking me 9 mins to download. Can't use multi threaded. This is ridiculous.

PS4 is downloading an update for War Thunder. About 4GB left. Says about 4 hours left according to the game. Digits are ticking over very slowly, but Pfsense traffic graph shows line speed at 3.4Mbps.

How does that compute. The bandwidth is definitely going towards the PS4 as well.

It takes 28 seconds for the last digit to tick over, ie. 5.71GB - 5.72GB.
At line speed the last digit should tick over just about every second.

Edit:
Picked up a bit. Seems the counter is not working that great. Still dog slow, but time frame dropped by an hour.

Last straw for me. Crystalweb managing 40kbps on the swtor patch while when I switching to mweb 1.5mbps. Sorry that's the last for me, will be receiving my crenelation shortly. You have had more then enough time to sort this.

SWTOR are undergoing maintenance on their own servers. It's possible it was already cached on Mweb's side but not ours yet.

A mail is going out over the next 2 hours to all customers though - hold tight until then and if you're still unhappy then fire off the mail to us. :)

This happens each and every time there is a patch. Do you expect me to download at 40kbps each time, while I can download at 1.5 mbps from mweb? When I was with webafrica I was also downloading at linespeed...

If the difference was tiny I would hang in there but no way am I hanging around when you can only manage 40kbps as I want to play when the server come up. Hence the reason why the patch is made available before the maintenance is completely finished...

Waits patiently

Not in the least little bit. If I'm blunt, it is complete nonsense, and something I know Cybersmart are working on. But independent of their solution, we have our own - check your mailbox shortly as the mail to all customers about this is going out.

IS that so? Tell us more... :p

Mmmmm, I can tell you, but then I have to kill you :D

So are you saying that the email we just received was not the big announcement?

Nope.

@CW: So according the email; everything is now suppose to be working 100% like it should? If not from what date/time can we expect everything to be working 100% or is it a working process?

How will this new venture impact on package prices. Will it stay at the current levels?

No price increases to customers are planned. If anything, you can expect some pretty incredible specials coming your way over the coming weeks, and new account types and options will become available as well.

nntp starts out great, but quickly hits rock bottom.

Everything should be around 90% now in Gauteng for 10Mbps and up customers. HTTP downloads remain affected, and Cybersmart are working on fixing this up on their end as we speak. NNTP I've been seeing great speeds on my end, so hearing that is starts well and then dies is one we need to report to them to solve now. There is only one shaped IP range available and I checked and you're not on it, so it's in all likelihood not shaping being applied to the download.

But the bottom line is that we're now introducing the symmetrical network topology to resolve this. Being worked on all of December, and should be good to start moving in early January, but even the Cybersmart backbone will be getting better and better each day now too.
