And on cue NNTP starts degrading. What is the shaping policy for NNTP on the new backbone?

It does shape during Netflix time - it's one of the shaped protocols during peak, and this is peak time due to everyone these days choosing streaming over downloading at this time of night.

so... is http downloads also shaped?

10 connections to

getting about 700 KB/s max

I should have known. The streams must flow! **** the rest :D

Support confirmed http is now being shaped

@CW: Do we still have that 100GB unshaped on the new network?

All I got:

Yes http is shaped

We are now utilising dynamic shaping on the new network, meaning shaping is only done depending on the status of the network, it is no longer time based but done just to ease pressure on the network when it is too congested

Quick, it is the end of the world! I've found a HD stream that does not flow

Hmm, my connection just died for 5 minutes and lost connection to the exchange. Its back now. But odd.

I'm on support as well, couldn't get the MTR page to load, Netflix is stuttering, Steam downloads are all over the place.

I couldn't even get a 3KB text file to upload into the chat.

Apparently something "in the south" has gone to ****. That's accordingly to AH.

Glad it's not just me, Heroes of the Storm was an exercise in patience just now...

Confirmed with a few people I know that their internet in the EC and WC is wonky and went off at just about 9PM.

International access is pretty bad. Local is a little better. I wonder who pressed what button and if ranger is going to kick their ass.
