Out of curiosity, (I know it killed the cat:D), but how would one go about testing the connection when there is an issue like this?

The reason I ask is, I am a PC gamer, and I will run a WinMTR to the server if I have an issue. Is there something similar for consoles?

Hi snail112,

Basically, It would require us to set up a Xbox or PS4 and connect it directly to a router with a test account with no other internet activity on that router besides the Console, Our Upstream Bandwidth provider would then need to look at the signatures of the specific game in real time and see if they can prioritize the signature on the network, I know destiny has been a bit of a troublesome game with many ISPs in SA due to it's unique signature.

It's something among other things we are hoping to address very soon...

You've answered what is convenient to you.. sign of failure.. hopefully i've saved enough people from wasting their time and money on here.. easy for you guys to cancel, you didn't even put a single bit of effort in "saving" a client.. It just shows you don't give two ****s.. Well makes my decision and everyone elses so much easier.. im outa here cheers- gl, but dont think you'll run a successfull business the way you do, don't let your big heads get to you because you got the top rating on mybroadband, that can and will change very quickly.

6GB on Uncapped Basic a day... WoW... I don't even do that on Premium Uncapped. Lets download the internetz on Basic Uncapped.

@CrystalWebRep I'm a little disappointed the I'm not able to use PopcornTime between 00:00 and 06:00. I'm on Home Capped and I'm under the impression that traffic shaping is lifted during those hours?

In my experience, I'm able to use NNPT at full linespeed (4Mb) from 01:00-06:00, but can't watch 1 streaming movie (abt 800MB) in that same time period. Which use-case is putting more strain on the network?

Are Netflix subscribers experiencing the same issue on Home Capped?

Is the Customer Portal up and running? or is it still under development?

Hi Oreomitch,

In my personal experience, I've found it difficult in the past to stream off of popcorn time without buffering on a 4Mb Line in 720/1080p no matter the ISP, 360/480p seemed to work well some time ago when I tested on a 4Mb line.

Popcorn time uses P2P. So in essence, It's not a streaming protocol and is not prioritized as such due to Popcorn Time using P2P to download and watch the content instantly.

This is something we are hoping to address very soon...

Sorry for vanishing yesterday during our help session. Had our exec calling for a meeting. Will touch Base later today.

Try Kodi/XBMC for streaming movies and series.

I must be very fortunate as I've had smooth streaming at 720p with other ISPs. However, I'm currently only getting around 20Kbps. So, if I'm interpreting your reply, P2P is not really usable on your network. Ammiright?

That's definitely not right, Next time you experience slow speeds like this can you hop onto live chat so the agent can run some diagnostics to find out where the issue is coming in.

What do you guys use to time your downloads from 00:00 till 06:00?

You can set a download schedule on utorrent.

So only allow data movement on the program from 00:00 - 06:00 and leave you torrents active.

I'll admit I'm a little disappointed that I am getting the same latency in game now with my Home Capped account that I was getting with AH. When I used the test account I had the lowest ever ping I'd seen but not so now :(

Downloads - no complaints
Streaming - almost no complaints
Gaming - I'm feeling a bit let down.
