Official Meizu M2 Note thread

Go to the actual contact app and see in the advanced options if there is an 'add to home screen' option

The only way I can see to get to contacts is via the dialer app. There it has a contacts icon and when you tap on it it goes into your phonebook. I go down to the security company and open it up, then press the menu icon at the bottom but there are only options to edit, delete or block it.

I think I will. Will look around for a nice launcher

Nkuli....you said you going to do another launcher on your Meizu. Any problems?

I got my phone today and did my sim swop. Been using it all afternoon and it definetly better than the p6.

I played in the flyme launcher but switch to nova launcher which is my favourite(used on p6 too).

Nice phone though now just for my tempered glass to arrive from ebay.

I just installed Google Now launcher. Works nice on the Meizu.

Hi Ocks - can you give a little insight how that single Home button work, and also is there an option to switch on the normal Droid buttons.
I am also planning to get this and was wondering if a different launcher like Apex can handle the single Home button.

I got used to the single Home button very quick. It is so simple and works really well. A soft touch (you just touch the button, not actually pressing it in) equals pressing the back button on other droids. Hard pressing the button so it clicks takes you back to the home screen. Easy peasy. Have test it now with Google Now launcher and works 100% as far as I can tell.

There is a bug with the alarm clock it seems. Mine did not go off this morning.

Yes guys, i'm using Nova Launcher Prime, loving it, great settings and you can tweak almost everything, change icons, have an app drawer, change icon sizes, etc. It gives my phone the Pure Android feel, didn't even try Flyme. You can also try Google Launcher and Action 3 Launcher.

Hi Freaksta, I need some accessories, like tempered glass thingy and some covers, is eBay ideal to buy from? and how's the delivery time?

My Alarm worked fine, no issues. but will download an App just incase.

Still loving this phone, what a buy!!!!!!

Also decided to use it with 2 Sims, the other will be a Data Only sim from Axxess, I don't think i'll need a memory card. I've already downloaded all my favorite apps and some of my favorite artist albums and i still have 5gb internal memory. Plus I use a music streaming app so i'm good, waiting to get the Apple Music app on the phone.

The Battery is amazing!!!!! even on LTE the whole day.

Struggled with SMS from the Messenger App so deleted it and i'm using the stock Messenger app for SMS and its working fine now.
And actually all the stock apps are pretty cool but changed the Keyboard to Swiftkey.

All in All, a great phone really to buy cheaply.

Just need a few covers and even with DragonTail glass I want a screen protector to ease my anxiety. The phone feels very light on the hand so i'm scared it will slip and fall, there's not much grip from the back.

Okay, you guys made me order one yesterday :p

They seem to be out of stock and should be getting some in a few days.

Thanks for all the feedback on the thread.

A little quirk that I have noticed is that Telegram has got a generic looking notification icon in the notification area when a new message comes through. WhatsApp has got its normal icon that gets used there. Strange.

I get the same silly grey'ish Chat bubble icon for everything, Whatsapp, eMail, SMS, same looking icon :(
