The guy is dependable with a good track record, just make sure you are comfortable with the difference between CN and Global roms imo.

My memory is shot but looking at order history and whatsapp messages - Aliexpress Shenzhen Hongtian (OP12 R14k all in for the 12gb/256gb variant) and Shenzhen Pophong (OP5 for maybe R10k all in and OP3T for R8k), OP5T Star Wars edition from Vijay on Carbonite, OP6 also from Vijay back in June 2018, R10k.. 7 Pro through an importer, exporter mate of mine, R10k all in back in Jan 2020. 7T Pro on contract through Vodacom in Nov 2020 and now OP12 in June 2024...

Not a days issue with a single one of them starting with the 3T back in January 2017. That's over 8 years of trouble free service.

I've resold everyone single one of them, on average within a couple of weeks, mainly on Carbonite.

They age well on account of the brilliant build quality and they hold their value reasonably well on account of a niche market that continues to find value in them.

I'm a fanboi of their products, unashamedly so..
 
Vijay on carbs I think is now Bachi. Reseller account, he buys and sells bucket loads of phones and other electronics. The OnePlus's he procured back in the day were primarily Indian stock. I wonder if he's bringing in any OP13's?

They are CN phones flashed to Global Rom, i am unsure if all OTA updates etc work 100%
Unless they specifically state Global version they are flashed

It's the chinese version and OTA updates only work if u rooted.

not sure im that tech savvy

travelling to London in few months, but the UK version costs a lot more than the one from CN

Very tempted but it's a lot to drop on an unknown. Added to cart to check the extra costs and shipping comes to R700. Have no idea what the import duties will come to like you do on Amazon...

Having said that (and don't quote me) but Aliexpress often under declare the value of the item purchased. If you were getting from one particular retailer, who shall remain anonymous, you might pay as little as R800.
