Oneplus 5T

Yeah. One can easily tweak those in developer options.

I think comparisons where 1 app is opened at a time is a truer reflection of everyday world use.

There is something incredibly satisfying using a fast and responsive device though.

i have to be honest, that slightly slower animation makes the device feel like butter though... even if it does take a couple milliseconds longer to do its thing

Yeah. You got one? You should try scaling down the animation a to 0.5 in developers settings. I reckon that's the sweet spot.

That's the quicker chip apparently. 5T is a beast of a phone. Done so well to optimize software and hardware. I've never had such a hard on for a phone before. It gets more attention than my SO.
Have you used a pixel 2 XL yet? Which one would you think is snappier over time?

I'm really Keen to get my hands on a 5T but am worried they get the usual lag after X time of usage.

Used both for a while and have to say the pixel is a better phone but not by much. Reckon the 2 best phones are still the pixel 2 xl and the 5T.

I can't speak for the Pixel , but I have had OnePlus 3 and now a 5t . I never noticed any slow down on the 3 throughout the period I had it ,even after updates and I'm a pretty heavy user of messaging , tons of e mailing and constantly have 30 to 40 pages open in my browser.

The 5t is a seriously impressive device, love the 8gb of Ram and the dual sim function is a massive bonus .

Haven't used a pixel either. Fantastic phone if the reviews are anything to go by. Excellent camera, super quick and stock android experience, lovely 2 tone design.

Not cheap though.

5T is on a par in most regards and better in some but not in the camera department. Quite a bit cheaper though.

I've had a 3T, 5 and now 5T and none of them got bogged down at any stage. Performance is my main priority when looking at a smartphone. I wouldn't tolerate an under performing brand or handset.

OnePlus is also a company that encourages rooting and there some really decent custom roms available.

The one plus 5T is definitely a great device which in certain areas outperforms other flagships that cost almost 100% more. Very impressive indeed.

Think I'll hold out for the 6 or new pixel. No point switching now. All I can say is I'm happy I ditched apple after many years :D

Yeah. 6 should be out around June. 6T in November. I think I’m going to wait for the 6T...

it seems so silly but experience so far seems that almost always better to wait out for the T version.

Almost always the case with tech, new model trump's outgoing model. Just the extent by which differs.

I think we've become spoilt as consumers with annual upgrades. I could easily go 2 years on the 5t but come November 2018 I would have had it for barely 9 months.

When the new model comes out hope the 5t drops so I can get my hands on one lol
