Errrm sorry for being such a knob but i have searched and can only find 1gb trial accounts for DSL and not for fibre. Can you maybe throw me a link there for the trial fibre account please?
Any DSL account works on Openserve fibre.

I donk know if its because im using my dsl username and pass but the speeds are really all over the place. Sometimes 60 other times 40 then 50 then 90. Is this normal?
On my dsl almost anytime of the day i would get consistent 9,7mbps. on the fibre its everywhere

Have you tried another ISP? You should be pulling max during non-peaks. (Even during peaks as well.) Webafrica's cap data is subject to shaping (& throttling). http://support.webafrica.co.za/inde...rticle/View/669/0/bandwidth-priority-profiles I believe their fibre data falls under normal home capped. If are you using speedtests to determine the speeds, then it's either your router or webafrica in general.

Glad man. Hope WebAfrica works out for you.

I'm about to send them my cancellation mail - I don't know how long I'm supposed to give a company time to respond to my mails / tickets / private messages, and I'm not about to find out.

Don't worry, they'll get to you. I have a friend that lives in Moreleta Park, he got his 100Mbps fibre from WA/Openserve, and it's working beautifully.

Webafrica is my ISP, Openserve the fibre provider.

Called webafrica OPS said they will speak to the
Pretoria installation team.

No feedback yet.

I just got a phonecall from an Ops person at WebAfrica. For the first time in 38 days it feels like somebody in WebAfrica is actually concerned about me and they're going to try everything in their power to get me live before the 15th.

The 15th? That's the start of Open serve / Telkom's annual network freeze - it lasts until 15 January. So no installations / network changes done in this time.

Here's hoping Telkom isn't already on their own "freeze".

Do you have the number for the technician by any change? My technician is on leave and I have no contacts for anybody at OpenServe at the moment.
