Who else does this from time to time?

I have done three and the vibe seems nice and relaxed, considering it is only 5km it does look like a nice and more social way of doing a workout.

My friends that jog says the foreshore one is the best and the Big Bay one the worst.

I have a fatty friend who is in the process of getting less fatty, he does parkruns to achieve this. I've done a few with him, trying to motivate as and when needed. Takes a long time for him to finish (just over an hour is his best), but during that time the vibe is chilled and friendly, definitely a good way to spend a Saturday morning.

I have only done the R44 one, it has a fairly nice climb but the location is perfect.

I have been asked by my Park Runner Wife, why you think Big Bay is one of the worst.

She normally runs at Voortrekker, but has run a six others, including Big Bay.

My Wife has done that one, but was disappointed to be beaten by a collie!

No dogs at Voortrekker as it is a game reserve, but you do meet horses and buck.

Done Durban beachfront one (North Beach) and will add the Shongweni one to the list soon.

Always good to see people getting off their asses in numbers. Diet all you want but if you live a sedentary lifestyle you're fighting a losing battle.

I do the Rondebosch one.

Its a really great idea, but with 250 people trying to run round the common at the same time it gets a bit crowded.

Going to see if I can make it to the Greenpoint one next.

I've done Woodlands, Delta and Modderfontein. They're awesome and always fun especially when the Sleek Geeks are around.
Pity the wife keeps beating me though. ;)

I do the parkrun most weekends. On 22 runs atm but I have only missed 2 since I started.
I do the Nahoon point one which averages 700 runners each time.
Modderfontein is run by a friend of mine and they pulled their record together very nicely, Nahoon point held the SA record up to that point.

Glad to see so many other folks here on myBB have done this. I remember walking back to my car parked next to the Rondebosch Common after the Two Oceans, it was just after 8am and I saw the Parkrun was on. I was tempted to join but having just done a half marathon I went home, might still go and try that one.

Anyone interested in beating me, it is not that hard : http://www.parkrun.co.za/results/athleteresultshistory/?athleteNumber=920389

Those are some good times.
The parkrun I do is considered to be one of the hardest(it has some monster climbs and a fair bit of beach running)
I need to try some other runs to see what my times would be, currently sitting on 28 as pb.

Nice one guys! Keep going. I really should do another one sometime, most of the time I run 12~14k as training for half marathons.
