Problem with SIM swap

Hi guys

I hope someone can help a confused subscriber

I went to get my upgrade from Vodacom yesterday (iPhone 4) - asked for SIM swap (need microsim for the iphone). Their system would not allow a SIM swap on my account - they tried yest. and today, but to no avail.

I've been with Vodacom for 2 years, and now their system wont allow me to swap my current SIM card for microsim? Does anyone know why/what could cause this problem?

dunno wat, but cuttin your existing sim down to a micro size is easy to do

Yup - yout can cut it.

I went to THREE stores before I correctly got my SIM swap.

The first store gave me someone elses card. As I put it in my phone, it said 'Welcome to your 24 months MyGB2 bundle!' - so I had to take it back. The second one they gave me wouldn't activate and kept saying 'SIM exists' on their system - and they told me a SIM swap wouldn't work on my phone for some reason.

After the two errors above, went through to another store and the arrogrant **** of a sales person glared at me and said 'system down ...' as I sat in front of him. Walked STRAIGHT to the 3rd store across the hall and eventually they managed to activate and confirmed the system hasn't been down and the guy was lying.

Hi Guys ,I thought when you buy a simcard they have to Rica it for youbefore giving it to you .I bought a simcard at Checkers Vryheid and the very obnoxious lady took my ID & Proof of reidence and disappeared and a minute later she came back and gave my id back and told me wait 48 hours and your numba vil wek.(African lady).I bought the sim to do a simswop but up to now the Number & sim does not (WEK) and it says on the phone that I need to rica first .Will try Autopage tomorrow .Second thing I used to have a number (prepaid) and I lost the phone.The phone had a password and Phone lock on so I presume nobody got it going againg because the number do not seem to work.Can get the number back by doing a sim swop ? I would like it back because my fax number is the same bar the first three digits that is 086 .

You should be able to get it back if it hasn't been recycled already. Do you know the number os i can check it for you?
