Rain Mobile SIM Deliveries

Ordered Friday for delivery today after 4pm, received it about 2 hours ago. But are these sims not activated? Cause my B315 is giving me a no service error message. Courier took a picture of my ID and utility bill for RICA. Order no 2277

Mine was activated immediately on delivery. Unless their systems are taking strain.

Mmmmmmm, damn it.... Online chat asked me to try the sim in a different device. I told them no, cause I'm not breaking the sim out of its full size adapter to try in a cell with nano sim slot. It's such a pain lining up a sim that is too small for the B315's sim tray. I then asked if the sim was activated. He checked and claimed not as it wasn't RICA'd. Courier took a pic of my ID and utility bill at the time of delivery! Anyway... whatever...

The main issue I have picked up is Rain would assign a time fram but the delivery guys will have another time frame. So thats where all the mis-communication stems from. Rain would tell you 9am to 10am only to find later on that the delivery guys have a different time slot altogether if not a different day. Disaster in a pressure cooker.

You may need to log into the router with E5186 Toolbox and change the bands in the section which writes to the API on the router.

Networkmode I set to 03 So it only connects to 4G
NetworkBand I set to 3FFFFFFF so it connect to any band as specified
LTEBand I have set to 8000000000 as my current sim is on telkom and that denotes the 2300Mhz spectrum. So you would use 2000000000 for 2600Mhz for example.

Download link for the toolbox is www.2giga.link/d/z6RqG7

Not sure if the download like will post if not, PM me and I will give it to you.

/api/net/net-mode
<request>
<NetworkMode>03</NetworkMode>
<NetworkBand>3FFFFFFF</NetworkBand>
<LTEBand>20000000000</LTEBand>
</request>
ERROR: UNKNOWN ERROR

I contacted Sendr, and arranged to go pick up my sim personally from their offices(dispatching centre?) in Randburg. Sim activated, and was working in the car park.

Apparently Sendr's systems crashed...? Or so it was claimed!

They have stacks up unactivated sim cards, and when they RICA you, they take a sim from the stack and link it to your profile. Easy as pie!

Finally received my SIM, no service... Tried in two different devices without success.

Apparently I'm still going to get my sim before I say my prayers tonight. We will see how true this is.

*holds my breath

Has the status of the order changed on the track my package page for anybody who has actually received their SIM?

This company gave me a new understanding of the term "Rain check"

Still waiting patiently for SIM (order 127)
I don't have a problem with the fact that they have delays, however, I'm utterly disappointed at the way in which they handle these delays.
A bit of constructive criticism RAIN... If there is a problem/delay, please be in a bit more active contact with your client base. Personally I'd rather wait patiently for a guaranteed delivery in 7 days that waiting frantically for 1 or 2 days without any sign of existence whatsoever.

I can see a man on foot from Gauteng to East London. Hope he doesn't die of exhaustion.

you lucky...mine is still looking for my sim in the haystack even though its "apparently" been rescheduled for delivery twice, still says 8th June 10-12am on the dashboard

totally unreliable and inconsistent like their service.

Managed to call rain directly, apparently the system is down, technician will try to manually activate my SIM :crylaugh:

So I have been reschedule 5 times now, and all 5 times was not fulfilled.

Let's try this again tomorrow, If the supervisor can't stick to her word, then I don't know.
