I think one has two selected-able DC outputs, and the other PoE. The one you linked is better suited to my needs.

Our ONT is also on a high shelf so cabling was a problem - your solution is a good one.

Looking for a UPS to power our router + laptops (and monitors, 4 total). Don't have a huge budget but also don't want to spend like 8k.

To be clear - 2 laptops + 4 monitors, and the router, so a total of 7 items
 
Stupid question maybe, I see a lot of people asking for a UPS for laptops - don't the laptops have batteries?

Yes, but they are shot, due to abuse. So the idea is to get a new set of external batteries, so that they can also be abused, anew.

See how much power you need, then you'll know how much battery you need. So, plug everything into the killawatt, and run it for the length of time you want your backup to be, then get a 12V inverter/charger and size the battery accordingly. Once you know how much you need you can come back here and confirm what's needed. My 2c.
 
Just gotta add, I'm a she. And I don't need to power the extra monitors. We'd have liked to keep the extra pc on during load shedding or the tv, but it's not a must. The internet being on is the most important

Edited my post, my bad. :p That improves your situation dramatically, then if your laptop and can hold out during loadshedding, then you just need one of these ratels/gizzus/power cubes for your internet. Gizzu deal from loot sounds sweet.

Internet Router (+ CPE) look at the Mini UPS ranges like the Ratel,Uniterm also gives discounts to Mybroadband members ( a few models have been named in this thread)
The big costs start coming when you need to keep your 220v appliances going for extended periods

I've been fixing up refurb cheapie inverters and putting new 105AH batteries on them,but that needs some comfort with working with electricity
