Samsung?
Samsung SA?
MNOs? If so, how do they all launch it on the same day?

Damn delays :(
 
Hey Guys, need some help here. I'm trying to update using Kies, but every time I start the upgrade the connection between the phone and PC gets lost and upgrade aborts. Tried restarting phone and Pc couple of time and same story. Anyone else with this problem?:cry::mad:

Kies is very unstable! I have not used it for 6 months now ... oh wait ... I have had my sammy now for 6 months too ... Anyway, I use Oding (as a lot of other users do). Seeing I don't use Kies, when you downloaded the file, was it saved somewhere? If it has, then you can use Odin to flash it to your phone.

Phone connects fine, but as soon as the 'prepare for firmware upgrade' window opens, kies shows that the connection between phone and PC lost, but I can still access the phone files through windows, meaning that the phone is still connected to the PC :confused:

Not being rude here, but if it is not a wi-fi or 3g problem, then unfortunately that is what you will be stuck with (untill it eventually succeeds)...... OR ..... get firmware from another source and flash it yourself via Odin. IF you feel like being liberated from Kies and get a solution, then read here
 
So far all its done is delete all my app shortcuts and widgets :( I thought you were supposed to be able to unlock directly to the camera. It doesn't look as pretty as stock ICS. Maybe I'll just install that....

I couldn't even tell the difference between ICS and GB with all of Samsung's crap to be honest ;P
 
If anything it looks worse. It's got all the old Samsung stuff with a few new ICS bits added into the mix. And the two don't work together, visually...
 
Ha, Ha, Ha, too good to be true. I just phoned Samsung now and they said the upgrade will only be available "sometime next month". The lady said that Kies will show that upgrade is available but it's not, hence my frustration.....

Upgrade using Kies on Windows over USB worked fine for me at around 11 this morning. (My S2 is from Vodacom.)
