The weight loss thread

BMI is completely useless. It makes no allowances for build/muscle.
If I got down to 0% body fat I would still have an unhealthy BMI.

OK I lie. 24.4 which is right at the top end of healthy...25 and up is considered overweight.
I also wonder about this - will read up more.

Last couple of weeks have been quite frustrating. Weight has been fluctuating in the 118.2-119kg range

It's not "official" weigh in day yet but this bodes well and was a pleasant surprise this morning!

I know that the body pauses with weight loss and stores water in fat cells as they empty, just in case it needs to use them for fat storage again, and then eventually lets them go... Hard to keep that in mind though when it seems like nothing is happening.

Well done. I also find weight plateau very very frustrating. I hardly eat any carbs after 5pm now. Worst case I drink half a glass of lean milk with whey protein after 5pm if hunger hits me at around 8pm. Hoping that this will have some impact within next month though.

Let us keep on fighting.

This is why it's important to measure often BUT to measure success much less often. Like over a week or two weeks or a month.

89.95.

I was beginning to disbelieve this calorie-in/calorie-out thing but after reading, I get that it is not going to be linear all the time.

Of course, as per below - I have been taking this since last 10-12 days and at times this replaces my evening meal (didn't cut evening meal completely though, not worth it) so that would have definitely helped.
Finally, all that marketing has taken its toll due to weight plateau for more than 3 weeks. I have ordered some lean protein powder and will see if that helps as a evening meal replacement. I honestly can't do any more exercise or cut anything really.

89.90 - so 5g of loss since last week. LOL

But good news is 'Hello size 36 jeans'. God Weight loss works in mysterious ways. :p

Spoke too soon. I have nfi how 2kg weight can be gained in just 4 days after sticking to strict diet & exercise. Not sweating much so I can only think of that reason but flipping 2Kg? LOL.

This week we signed up for HelloFresh, a food subscription service that delivers fresh ingredients for a few meals every week. Sadly they don't do low carb options, most of them come with rice, pasta or potatoes, but the portions are calorie smart (ie, between 600-800 cal for dinner) which isn't terrible.
The pasta stuff seems fine but I can't tolerate the potatoes - carb headache the next day. Happily though it seems to work OK with the wegovy as seen above :) and the food has been delicious!

The 36s still fitting?

Hello water retention!

yeah, 36s are fitting well. Wow - didn't realize 2kg would be water retention weight, thanks.
If you think about it, 2kg of fat is about 15000 calories. Have you eaten 15000 excess calories?
So it's definitely not stored energy...

True, I actually was hoping my new-ish machine broke or something.

Definitely water retention. You can expect a big drop in a couple of days.
Thanks, my salt intake did increase a bit due to some savoury snacks   That would explain water retention.

And 91.2 today so gained about 1.25kg since last 2 weeks. Not adjusting target yet as I feel quite fit compared to last 2-3 weeks.
