The weight loss thread

I started last year Oct'ish on a less carbs and smaller portion diet at 106 kg. I started doing strength training in stead of cardio types. Went into festive at 101.2 kg. I did eat more carbs and exercised less during the time, but fortunately I stayed level at 101.2 kg. I'm struggling to start losing again now as more carbs and larger portions have slipped in over festive period. Aiming for 92 kg on April 30. After that the end goal is 85 kg.

4.3kg loss this year but with old weighing scale which I don't trust so let me not rejoice yet till I buy a new one.

I expect the reduction (if it happens) will be no more than 2kg per month in coming months. I really cut down on carbs last 2 weeks and will slow down a bit in February.

moving from cardio to weight training maybe reasses your goal weight you can see I dropped almost 10kg in 3 months and then stayed constant the rest of the year even with loads of training. not phased about the weight dont think I can lose more than 4-5kg putting me at 94 when I did loads of running I bottomed out at 87/88 but doubt nor care that i can ever reach that.

cool, I am going to be extremly excited if I reach 87kg - hopefully by April end if current enthusiasm continues.

Eating humble pie this week. 95.3 so up from 94.7 last week Friday. I was feeling so light today. I don't get this thing.:ROFL::ROFL::eek:

To be honest, I don't trust the scale. I prefer the pinch measurement recordings done by a sports dietician.
Measurements at specific body points, recorded monthly, provides a reasonably accurate gain/loss indication.

eh ? Is new female = new regime of diet and sexual interest = interest for food ?
The Coolidge effect is a biological phenomenon seen in animals, whereby males exhibit renewed sexual interest whenever a new female is introduced, even after sex with prior but still available sexual partners.[1][2][3][4] To a lesser extent, the effect is also seen among females with regard to their mates.[3]

The effect is essentially when you increase your choice in things, you want more of them.
Which situation would you do better in? Situation #1: You can eat as much chicken, rice, and broccoli as you want – unlimited quantities Situation #2: You are at an all you can eat buffet, and you can eat as much as you want – unlimited quantities Situation #2 would almost certainly cause you to overeat.

Thanks - got you. I did eat few chips and 2 small cookies although I worked out for about 250 calories just now to burn it off. Hopefully that should even things out.

You could kidnap me easily by just showing a dish of a nice paneer methi to lure me. I love it. And a good dahl mmmm...
Creamy methi paneer? (Methi malai paneer to be exact). Which dal? Dal fry, mix/panchmel dal or dal makhani? Just mentioning 3 as these are the only ones available in SA restaurants. :)
