The weight loss thread

So this journey continues....

View attachment 1827529

Took a reversal in Aug24 when my was was pregnant and worked VERY VERY hard since baby arrived to get all that weight back off esp after losing 14kg to start with. Thats officially 8.6kg down since April.

I am now officially at the lowest I have been in 6 years and intent to see what my "bottom" is I recon its going to stablise at 94kg but Im feeling healthier than ever!

To all the rest of you working hard keep it up!

The above is from gym, diet, 2 beer cap a week, 1 "sweet" a day and two cups of coffee daily. 7 cups of coffee with milk etc adds more than you think.
The journey continues STRONGER THAN EVER!!!

Wee!!! After really kicking into gear since the little guy arrived (april) I am at the lowest PBF I have ever been I think, on track for ABS in DEC. Im, quiet happy as the routine is ultra sustainable too!

I have upped my creatine intake to 10g a day and do an additional 40g of protein via powder and two boiled eggs in addition to my normal meals.

What I am happiest about is that the additional protein has also seemed to pay off lost 3kg but added 1kg in lean muscle over the last month.

In short this is what the activities so far have looked like.

Keep it up Y'all!!!!!

So I am diabetic because of my weight, and I have tried all the other ways of losing weight, and it normally goes good for a few months, and then I slip.
So, for my health, I need to make a plan or get help.

Where can I see the prices for the different options, or who has researched the prices and can give me an idea? I am leaning towards Mounjaro.

Just need a good start and then happy to maintain it from there.

Supply has become a big problem in my area with mounjaro (assume its national) and onlinedoctorssa has stopped giving prescriptions due to this. Took my last shot last week. Raw dogging it with plain old calorie counting going forward and will try again next year. Just hoping i dont fall off the band wagon to much but last two months have been a struggle to get hold of the stuff and i dont wanted to use a compounded version due to risks attached to it. End result has been 0.9kgs lost on average per week for 7 months and going from no running to 2 half marathons done in September. Full Marathon planned for December.

Believe wegovy is now in SA for weight loss but based on the science it has about a 30-50% less impact i think compared to mounjaro so the price of it to me was not worth it. Hopefully i dont regret that decision.

Oh right so still eating the same stuff but slowly just reduce the amount every second month.
So now I do 3 eggs, knob of butter, same amount of mushrooms.
I noticed I'm starting to get hungrier around lunch so I started adding in an avocado every day as well at about 3pm and dinner is usually at 5-7pm depending on work.

Getting closer to my goal.

Pretty much all I eat. I do supplement.
Only stuff I drink is water, coffee and tea.

4 eggs
Butter
Whole avocado
2 Chicken breasts
Broccoli/Green beans/Spinach
Cream cheese
Fresh cream
Coconut oil

Weight stays between 70 & 72 kg

Calorie and macros watching - not for weight loss anymore but for the ability to train again the next day!

Happy with my health results so far this year.
Cycling performance still needs a bit of work though

The April blood work and health check had my blood pressure at 140-150/80-90

All the hard work and effort has really paid off 109/58 tonight

Thanks! I think at this point they all in the "good range" But yes no blood pressure pills
Congrats. Just wow, I don't know of many people who got rid of BP meds by changing lifestyle.

My lifestyle changes are good in terms of regular exercise but I just need to reduce intake of salt. :crying:

My lifestyle changes are great but I just need to reduce intake of salt. :crying:
I've had to change my meds frequency (should probably change the dose) but now I take them maybe every 2nd day. 114/69 today.
Going to lose some more weight and get some more fit, and then do a proper review.

Thanks much appreciated!

I am about 15.5kg down since April, I might gym 3-4 times a week but I think the daily 4km walk with the little one and cutting out LOADS of excess sugar etc has helped alot. That physical in April was a real wake up call do something or suffer.

It's coming to summer so I've changed things up, started being more leniant with what I eat so long as it's not every day and also don't overindulge. This is usually like meeting up with friends or family for a meal.

I've reduced my egg intake to 2/3 jumbo sized depending on how I feel.
I still cook them with some butter and for dinner I usually have lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, feta, a gherkin or two and usually two chicken fillets cubed.

I'll top everything with a dash of olive oil.

Interesting thing.
I got tirzepatide for my wife.
Admittedly this video finally convinced me.
The idea was to get her to lose weight which might make her feel better and thus want to be healthier.

She takes the first dose on a Wednesday 5 Nov and I'm curious if she feels anything.
By Friday Nov 7 she's still...meh, so I volunteer to take a shot "because maybe this stuff is nonsense".
Bloody hell.
If I'm not consciously thinking about food I don't even realize my stomach is probably screaming with huger.
My weight always fluctuates between 94 and 96 and I was 84.5 this morning.
