Thinking about leaving SA

One - It is an animal, anything can happen. It can take off into the road, it can approach a dangerous dog that even if it is leashed could cause a spot of bother. In my case, I have a dog aggressive bull terrier that we go out of our way to keep away from other animals when walking him. If your dog, off its leash, approaches me and causes k@k, I'd be highly effed off.

Two - By bike I am thinking motorcycle. It is stupid to ride a motorcycle without a helmet. Especially in SA when most people don't give two tosses about bike riders.

Three - See above. Stupid.

meh.

Still just an opinion.

Well, since you're a charou you should look at coming down to Durban. No need to leave South Africa yet.

some say that it's like going to India.

Is that true?

It really is.

I've been wanting to leave SA for a while. I was in the UK for five years and never again, will I go back there to live. SA (Even in its current state) is better than the UK in mu opinion. I have an uncle in Australia but that won't help me get in there if I want to.

Where in the UK? What made you leave?

Expectations didnt meet reality?

I had zero expectations going there. At the time, it was not my decision to move and I had no choice to go. I finished my schooling there (Some of the best times of my life ) and made some good friends. The moment I got a chance to come back to SA, I was on the next flight out. I'd missed home too much. Food was horrible there. Weather was even worse. I did not enjoy being so cramped up with everyone and having to park on the street. I just didn't enjoy it overall. Needless to say, you couldn't pay me enough to live there. Just not worth it.

Edit: I stayed in Hastings, East Sussex, for the most part of my time there.

so glad you came back man. like I mentioned earlier - SA is on the up and up, so I wouldn't be bothered like the others.

how long have you been here?

I've been back, roughly, ten years. I'll have to disagree with you regarding SA being on the up and up. it really isn't. The current state of the country is not good and looks to get worse. I am a little hopeful that the ANC will be out of power within ten years. I might not stick around for that long though.

you have some itchy feet, my friend.

UK is a terrible country.

US is at least a lot more diverse in it's states. There at least you have options.
But the secret is moving to a smaller, less populated country.

Or just get rich in South Africa and stay in the best places.

Leaving SA is easy. Building a new life in another country from scratch isn't

I have stayed in Germany and the UK. Longest stint was UK for 1.5 years. I still go there often though both Germany and UK. Uprooting yourself and building a new life from scratch is insanely tough. Even more so if you have a family.

If you single and young go for it. If not, rather forget about it.
