Weight Loss Thread 2014

I've had a tummy bug now going on 2 weeks. I can still function pretty well but my intake is very limited and my outtake well.. is unspeakable (basically I'm spraying the toilet bowl like a crop duster). But the upside is, I've slimmed down considerably. My tummy is almost totally gone. Hopefully I can keep up the lower intake levels when it all clears up because I'm looking gooood.

Way tmi there cerebus :p

omg I'm jealous. I don't think I'd even be able to run to the fridge right now...
I better get started on my jogging again asap.

Well done :)

Thanks, ja starting is the hardest part, having a training partner who motivates you and you motivate them helps a lot! If you don't have a partner I would recommend getting an app that tracks your runs/jogs/walks (I used endomondo, but since joining the gym it hasn't become necessary to use anymore) it motivates you to improve your own times! Plus posting it to FB and getting those likes really help :D I'm vain so sue me!

You are going to make it!

Great going!

Thanks :D

My jogging partner ditched me :(

I jog alone. I prefer it tbh.

Got Map My Run a week or so ago. Putting it up on fb definitely helps with the motivation.

1. How do you feel about needles?
2. Have you checked your iron levels?

1.1Maybe try a vita b and complex injection.

2.1 I was chronically fatigued, I thought it was the no carbs thing. Turned out I have an iron deficiency.
Have it checked, I didn't even think of it, I mean I cut only carbs and sugar.

I will get it checked out if this continues.

This morning I ate a boatload of fat with my breakfast meal, and it seems to have lifted me out of the extreme lethargy I woke up to.

I did a 5km night race last night. I've been doing training runs at about 31 mins, so I was pretty chuffed to finish in 29:01 last night, even with the first kay being a very slow 6:31. The last kay was my quickest at 5:24. I felt that I had really pushed myself, so I felt good with the race.

I'll do another 5km's tonight and tomorrow night, then take a break on Saturday being "Weigh Day".
Got a 10km race planned for Sunday morning, and also hoping to do a sub-60min, but I'd probably be happy with a 65 min, since I haven't done a 10km for around a year, with a HUGE gap of no running in between.

I am really trying to restrict my carbs, but finding it difficult :(
Why is it that carbs are in nearly EVERYTHING??? Even apples.
Had 3 "Lazy Eggs" for breakfast, which I found pretty filling.

I'm in a really bad mood. Sars, barking dogs, incompetent staff, headache, and I'm absolutely starving and craving bread like no tomorrow. I should have thrown the beer away last night rather than drink it. I was dumb enough to open it without thinking and then said to myself, "it's only one beer"...

OK, so I'm now officially a 34...was a 36 2 weeks ago :D Only lost 0.5kg this week, but pointed out its 0.5kg of fat :D Have not touched bad carbs at all, so I'm happy. Feel a bit low on energy some days. To those not seeing huge weight loss, take measurements weekly...you prob building muscle and losing CM, so wont see much difference on a scale ;)
