Weight Loss Thread 2014

After reading his diet on an average day I retract my statement of it not being possible.

I congratulate you Mephisto_Helix. Go from strength to strength.

Much thanks ...... it's had such a huge impact that I can only go from strength to strength :)

That's life changing dude. I'm sure you getting lots of comments from friends and family too.

that's what makes it such a 'gotta-stick-to-this' result, it may seem a bit vain but it keeps you motivated, you know

Did our weigh-in today, and I'm down to 94.5kg - down by 2.6kg for the week. I must be losing all over, because it doesn't feel like I've lost 4.2kg in the last 2 weeks.
We need to submit all our measurements and weight for SleekGeek on Monday, so I'll also start watching measurements to see a difference there.

Overall I am happy with the progress so far.

My height is 186cm.

I spoke to my doc just now and he said it's a lot yes but he has seen it before and as long as I have no adverse effects, which I haven't in those 4 weeks (even my headaches are gone) I should be ok. He reckons it's the 90mins workout every single day that has made such a dramatic result possible. He did say to increase the amount of food a tad coz that's too little and come see him soon (meh).

did he check your liver? Pretty sure losing that amount of weight that quickly will have an adverse affect on you clinically. I know it did for me.

My weight hasn't been dropping much, but I can feel my waist and stomach getting smaller :)

Went to gym today, burnt 252 calories cycling, burnt 350 calories on the treadmill...I did a little bit of weights...and rowed a little.

Sitting on 98,7Kg....the feeling of knowing I am a two digit weight now, instead of 3 really excites me!!

Was feeling tired, had a bit of salt in a glass of water, fatigue lifted.

Nice.

Hahaha, thanks for the information...This will do, when I am into study mode :)

Started today :D Weighed in, took measurements, even the terrible 'before' photos. My weight is probably not bad (80kg at 1.83m), just want to lose the boep.
6 strips of bacon + 2 eggs + cheese and butter for good meaure for breakfast and I must say I felt more full than with my previous breakfast even though this looked like less
Lunch is going to be a bit bad (2 slices low GI bread, with butter and salami and a loin chop) but I'm off to the gym today so hopefully the carbs wont be too bad, total is 35g carbs after lunch. By Wednesday I should have had time to make zero carb bread, then it'll be all good :)
Dinner I dont know yet, but I'll try keep the carbs as low as possible

Losing feels great for a change huh? :p Congrats to all you guys who have lost. Keep that motivation going!

I seem to be reaching a base point:

Well done!

Right, 31 days of Banting. Lost 6kgs and 7cm around my waist. Longest I've ever been on any real dietary/lifestyle change. Still a long way to go, but I've finally found something that's sustainable. I feel great, I look better and the willpower to continue is there. I happily forego the cake/chocolate that finds it's way into my house - I have a 2 year old, she loves to 'bake' with mommy!

I also found yesterday - using one of the carb counter apps - that my macros are still a bit carb heavy, so if I adjust that some more, I should see even more losses.

Ok after a really bad weekend im on 116.8kg. It's time to knuckle down, I've been too damn distracted. Some fasting needs to come into play too.

How many calories should I be aiming for? Depending on what site I go to, my daily requirement is anywhere from 2100 - 2900 calories. I've tried looking at what I used to eat, and according to that I was around 1800 calories (not counting snacks and drinks). And I know I was quite hungry when I woke up, around 11h00, and 18h00 again. So I'm guessing I should try aim a bit higher? My breakfast today was around 700 cal, and I'm a bit hungry already (after 2 glasses of water). Should I aim for a larger breakfast even though I was reasonably full this morning?
