What number are you on, i managed to get 10 meg on the 031368 Beach 2 exchange iirc.
Agreed though im in Morningside with a healthy number of residential business/offices and after repeated attempts the Telkom call centre guys havent got a clue![]()

It's all nice and wonderful they upgrade the exchanges but it doesn't help if they refuse to actually physically upgrade you.
Our exchange has supported 10mb for a while now but still no upgrade on our side...
Don't hold your breathe, my line was upgraded a few months ago and my speed is actually worse than it was before the upgrade. When I logged numerous faults I was told by a few call centre agents and technicians that everything was 100% as I was still synching above 1 Mbps. I am just sitting back waiting for the collapse of Telkom, which I sure will happen soon.Well two Telkom Techie's I know say they are upgrading local exchanges at a hectic pace, they just don't know when we will start gaining the benefits of these upgrades ...
