Anyone selling one of the prescribed routers

There may be some congestion on the area network. A lot of homes may begin running high data traffic in their homes at around these times but can you confirm what types of speeds you're getting? Perhaps PM me a screenshot of the speed tests you've been running?Anyone else getting really bad connectivity on their Afrihost Fixed LTE MTN package lately? It starts at 5pm every night and comes right at about 8am the next morning, fine for the day, then starts again at 5pm.
Hi Guys, I want to give a follow up on the MTN "toys out the cot" saga above. I got a call from a very nice gentleman at MTN technical services yesterday. I explained to him what happened on Saturday morning with the other rude dude from MTN. He apologized and said that it was very unprofessional of him.
He said that of course I am allowed to fit an external antenna. Nothing wrong with it. He also told me exactly where the three MTN masts are in Sedgefield and that I can pick and choose the one that gives me the best signal/speed.
Now, here is the interesting thing. MTN does NOT tower lock you on fixed LTE anymore. You can move your router anywhere now. The router and sim are however married. You can not swop sim cards.
They (MTN) are sending a team out to my house to look at installing a booster in my house due to the horrible signal that I am getting on voice calls.
Thought you all may find it interesting.
Is this true. Afriman can you confirm? Now, here is the interesting thing. MTN does NOT tower lock you on fixed LTE anymore. You can move your router anywhere now
Hi,I installed my Poynting antenna Saturday afternoon. Swivelled it around until I got the best signal and fixed it in position. My signal strength used to be around -115dBm, now it is -69 dBm. Speed has increased quite a lot as well. I see that I get LTE-A at times, but mostly just LTE. What is the difference?
PS. Don't EVER ask MTN technical department which cell mast is used for fixed LTE! I innocently told them that I wanted a direction to point my antenna to. Boy, did I get a grilling from them. They k@kked me out and was very abusive. I listened for a while and just put the phone down. Dumbasses!
For Axxess the APN is ws.axxess.fwa
You might have to wait a few days for the SIM card to arrive. In my case it took exactly a week as I was paying using a debit order and the service had just been launched. If you pay with a credit card the process should be much quicker.
I ordered late last week and it's due for delivery on Thursday this week.
We'll see. I got a call from the courier today to say have RICA stuff ready.
