I have the same issue and it has been going on for more than 6 months now. I have called Cell C's customer care a million times but I do not get any help. The last agent told me that Cell C is busy with upgrades on their towers and the speeds will be restored as soon as the update is completed. That was about 4 months ago and the internet speeds is still messed up. Below is the story of my life. I cannot wait till this cell c contract to expire so that I can leave Cell C for good.

I got a call from from Cell C Today and I was advised that the matter will be escalated to the networks department and will be contacted. I have not received a call from the networks department as yet however I ran the usual test and the speed has improved tremendously(see below).

@bheinche I have not even tested the MTN APN settings as yet. I will test though and see which one is better. Will keep you posted. Thanks again.

Thats with Telkom this morning. I got fed up with Cell C and decided to cancel that **** and bought myself a Telkom Prepaid sim, popped it into my B315 Router and i am amazed by the speeds

I wish I could do the same but Afrihost wants to charge me R999 for cancelling within 6 months. I didn't even take the router just the sim

I cancelled the service, it did not mention anything about paying lol

Lol how long have you been with them?
Probably just over a year... i just migrated the package from RAIN to Cell C but when i cancelled now, there was no mention whatsoever about the fee.... not sure why though

So since i began lodging complaints about my CELL C LTE (never owning a previous Cell C product in my life) i received marketing calls from 084 145 offering me Cell Cs new data deals. Perfect way to piss someone off. If you going to cite congestion as the cause for your consumers issues, put a hold on your marketing campaign to get more customers onto that same congested network.

So guys Cell C's Networks Support Team has contacted me and confirmed that they have tested the base station I connect to (500m from my house) and confirmed that there is no issues with it and the backhaul as well. This makes no sense as I should be getting awesome speeds but yeah I don't know what the issue is. They said they'll continue to test but it's basically up to me now to sort out.

I am receiving calls from 16th November today as missed calls on cell c and to make matters I can't receive or make calls

That explains it, you've been with them for a year. If you cancel within 6 months you must pay R999
Lol I am definitely liking that. I have had 3 days of blissful internet experience with just a Telkom prepaid sim... I am actually just going to load data every month.... It works out cheaper and I get better speeds

Please PM us your Cell C + contact number and email address.

Our team will look into it.
