Cheaper 3G Prices - Rep?

I would rather have Cheaper 3G prices from Company A with no rep, then expensive prices from Company B, who's rep only points you to Company A anyway....

What I meant was:

Let's say that i didn't work for Vodacom

If i am on prepaid with Vodacom and i am not happy with their service , be it Customer Care , Network or pricing , what is stopping me from trying out another Network? Why would i stay and complain about them when i know that i can so easily change.

There must then be something else that is keeping me with them.

@ minerva , this is what i meant , i never chased you away, else i would never have suggested the advanced options to you.

Let me know if there is anything i can do to make you happier with Vodacom , except pricing................:)

For me it is coverage. When I do get Cell C HSPA+ coverage, hopefully by the end of Feb, I will be stopping buying Vodacom data bundles.

lol amen brother..

Vodacon is so damn greedy, I won't ever be their customer again. CellC here I come!
Not to mention their service has gone to crap as well these days (probably to harvest more billions for uk parent company VODAFONE)

Oh the joy never ends! I loaded 2 gb data bundle on Vodacom on the 1st of Feb and the idiot call centre person went and loaded 2 data bundles of 2gb each! I immediately requested for them to remove one of the bundles and I received an SMS stating that a call was logged. Today is the 5th of Feb and it has still not been fixed. I am so sick of Vodacom's incompetence! My God at the rates they are charging one would assume that they would have money to train their staff properly.

whats the number or Ref?

Waiting for Vodacom to offer an actual good deal on prepaid (night owl was such a waste on contract), in order to play online again really sucks. The games I enjoy use 30-35Meg an hour, that comes out to 28 hours of playtime per Gig

Now R289 would give you about 38hours.

That's about R7,60 for an hour's worth of gaming. Excluding updates!

Sure you get games that use less, like DotA at a measly 6Meg per hour or SC2 at 15Meg per hour, but they not the ones I prefer.
DotA would be R1,44 for an hour and Sc2 R3,60 for an hour. (On their 1.2 Gig package)

PS. I was bored, just trying to see what Vodacom actually provides in terms of entertainment value.

Pricing

I can not believe their pricing is so poor and not come down yet. I moved to Cell C as their deal is so much better.

Wish i could move, unfortunately I am part of the vodacom captive audience. So, either I wait for cell c while I grin and bare vodacom's pricing , or i move to an area with cell c. Can't pick a fight with them either , they shoot first and ask q's later. I think i have Stockholm syndrome re vodacom.

Wow that is a sad statement. I have been with vodacom for many years. This is somthing that a big business will say that knows that they will be there forever.
Enron my friend enron

Vodacom data pricing ?

Hi

Is there anything on the books for a price decrease for data?

At the moment all Cell based data providers are MORE than 50% cheaper than Vodacom as far as I see it.

Paying R520 for 3Gig of data is getting rather expensive as I use a lot of it for large database backup downloads via FTP.

Regards and thanks for any light shed on this.

John

Didn't you see? Vodacom is going red and data prices have been slashed to make themselves more competitive because Cell C's pricing is not sustainable! (sarcasm btw...)

BREAKING NEWS - VODACOM DATA PRICES

It seems that the official news will remain the same - Vodacon (and MTN) will continue to work the South African through the ears and do nothing to the data prices.

Just think if they reduced the data prices by at least 61% (like a previous time) - they could have saved a lot of money on the advertisements on showing SA that Vodacon is red.

RED because they are embarrassed about screwing the public for so long!
