Thanks for brightening this Thursday. My 150 gig cap became a real pain to manage, good to see that it will become easier!
 
@Crystal Web Management: Aren't you worried about people downgrading their accounts to the cheapest package from their current 300+GB packages to take advantage of the 00:00 - 18:00 offer? There's less income for you?

This will get countered with more subscribers being attracted to the network.

Will probably result in shaping of some kind during midnight to 6:00 PM.

Unlikely. But we monitor that closely and we can upgrade within days now that all infrastructure upgrades are complete. Often within 48 hours if need be.

Not if the most traffic is after people come home from work anyway.

People will just schedule more downloads that they didn't use to during work hours, but Netflix etc. will be just as popular at the same times.

If I'm already on Telkom Fibre...can I move over to CW fibre or will I be limited to just using your data as I have been doing?
 
Depending on what CW offer next week...I might just have 40MB in my future.

Bizarre that less than a week ago 4MB was just fine...but after watching a few days of Netflix and last night's Apple event in pure HD from start to finish with no drama I am converted.

MUST HAVE MORE INTERNETS!

They provisioned entirely differently using different infrastructure so you will need to select your new package in the Vuma portal once the CPE is in.

CW really knows how to surprise and exceed people's expectations.

I can't agree with your first statement, unfortunately. Flyers are huge here, and people do take notice of them in the papers. The Centurion Rekord, for example, often has flyers which people look at.

Simple example.

My problem is that my complex is 18 houses only - 80% owned by either people who rent out, or are geriatric so don't know what I am saying when I discuss it with them - which I already did a year ago at the AGM. It's only me and my direct neighbor who have interest.

But there are many complexes around where surely people will have interest - but again, I'm not a salesman who's gonna walk from door to door. People should get more informed about it by the companies themselves.

Obviously the above is not aimed at CW - it's a general statement - ISP's seem to want us to do their dirty work in general.

Sitting with the exact same problem. Other service providers have shunned me and have not provided me with any insight or alternative (other than providing me with what I already have), so I am keen to see what CW is capable of.

Oh CW is the best.

It's just the whole acquiring fibre system in SA which is totally screwed up and the wrong way round.

They migrated me from adsl to vumatel with no double billing thing. I'm sure they can do the same to you.
 
Literally had chills when reading the email!

Very excited for the announcement's next week.

Its about damn time btw :D
