Yeah I'm experiencing poor speeds as well.

Support has forwarded my details to management to investigate, as they said the known issue should've been resolved by now.

I would advise hopping onto chat to do the same so that we can get this sorted

In my case apparently. I got the SMS's and email from Telkom saying that my line was being migrated though. Fault has been logged with Telkom

I got what sound similar email and SMS from Telkom last Tuesday but that was the start of this 2Mbps nightmare and on contacting CW support I was told to ignore the messages and it would be fixed in 24 hours. That was a week ago and I'm still on 2Mbps. It's not a case of a slower service, it's a case of a service that currently cannot do what I am paying for at all. The buffering on all my streaming services over a 2Mbps line makes them unwatchable. Last update on CW's network status page was on 10th Dec...

Openserve have tested their code change and are happy that it resolves the problem. They will be deploying the changes to the remaining affected customers in batches of 100 over the next few hours which will see restoration of services following a reboot of your modem. Further updates can be expected as we receive confirmations from Openserve's IT, service, and executive teams directly.

Well, 3 days later and my yet-another-reboot of my modem just now still has me connecting at 2 Mbps.

To CW management - you at least owe us an update on WTF is going on and your current best guess on time to fix (not that your previous guesses have been worth anything).

Welcome to the 2MB club!

The rest of us have been here a week already.

It is bizarre that there are latecomers to this supposed "code issue" that has allegedly already been fixed.

How strange.

If you are on 4MB though the knock isn't so bad.

But to go from 20MB to 2MB Breaks your life.

So I respond to my ticket again and get told the usual bull****..."oh but this was resolved already, just switch your Router off for 10min and it will be back on 20Mb...but do let us know if it doesn't restore".

Aka "bull**** bull****, buying time, bull****".

Yup, I've been getting that response since Monday

Worked for me...

Depends. I went for CW 4Mbps premium uncapped specifically to be able to stream live TV. I can do basic browsing on my mobile data allowance. CW just about streams perfectly at 4Mbs, probably buffers once an hour. At 2Mbps it buffers about once a minute for 15 or 20 seconds and then skips big bits now and then to catch up buffers so basically unwatchable. A pretty simple case of for my requirements 4Mbps works 2Mbps doesn't so I consider this a total outage for the last week and expect CW to adjust my billing for this month accordingly.
