Anyone else in KZN on CrystalWeb getting high packet loss and latency for the last 30 minutes or so?

Ping statistics for 212.58.244.71:
Packets: Sent = 21, Received = 15, Lost = 6 (28% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 989ms, Maximum = 1047ms, Average = 1021ms

Got a support chat open at present, to exchange.crystalweb.co.za is solid, anything else is borked for me.

A notice was JUST posted and tweeted about latency in KZN.

They are aware of it.

Yeah I had this as well, live support said it was my exchange but how can it be the exchange if the test to exchange.crystalweb.co.za is perfect?He/she didn't reply when I asked this. It's fine now though.

I've cancelled my account. Weak live chat support and no updates to current problems. Right now I was getting 42% packet loss to google with 900ms. My streaming has become abysmal(been pretty bad for a while now) and my online gaming is affected. Very disappointed because the first year was good. Seems to happen with every ISP.

haha gaskoon you still around?

In the process of canning my account as well. Line is being moved back to Telkom. Now to find a new ISP.

Not due to performance issues, mind you. Crystalweb has yet again decided to deactivate my account with zero notification. Apparently they've picked up an open DNS service running. This may be so, but as I haven't changed my router settings in close to two years, it's not something new.
A 24 hour notice would've been nice, instead of receiving an email indicating that my account has been suspended, on my way to work.

The previous times related to their password leaks.

lots of international timeouts since yesterday ..... is that KZN thing resolved? Anyone else having issues?

Opposite for me. I have found international latency so good, I have moved to colonising international servers in ARK.

Playing last night with a dude in Canada and a ping of 90. Could hardly tell it was not a local game.

huh? 90ms internationally? Your data is traveling faster than the speed of light :D

What it tells me in game. Don't shoot the messenger

Can tell you the game is super smooth though. Could not actually believe it.

I had the same problem a while ago. Easy fix was to block incoming traffic on port 53.

But I do agree. CW can at least give 24hours notice before just suspending your account. This is bad business.
