Do you own or use a printer?

We have one; print finance records for safe keeping. Not my choice .... I prefer online storage.

Yes. Canon Colour laser multifunction.
We home-school (mostly printing) and I have my office at home (mostly scanning).

I think we are in a time where we are aware of how to save and we all try to minimize our printing. I have a printer but use it only when absolutely necessary.

Yeah I use it to scan stuff in and to print things so that I can read it on paper instead of on the PC. It's easier on the eyes.

Canon Laser Printer

Yes I own a Canon Laser Printer and would be lost without it. It is the LBP 6020 model and is much more efficient and cost-effective than any inkjet printer I have ever owned. Next printer I buy will be a wireless model so that I can print directly from my smartphone or tablet.

Printers definitely have their place in the tech chain and I cannot imagine that any office could run smoothly without some sort of printer.

Yes i own a old hp printer. Hardly use it. The cartridges are very expensive though and harder to come by the older it gets

I have a B&W HP Laser and canon ink tank G3400 at home as ink costs on previous HP 6500 were ridiculous.
Kids use for assignments and we print any docs we need at home.
Work has a great Samsung workgroup laser - fast, duplex B7W printing, nice machine.

Was shocked to recently discover that some private people (non-corporates) actually buy original toner and/or ink. They do so because they want to protect their warranty. Obviously something like 2 x toner is more expensive than a printer when buying originals. It is really disturbing what some people are willing to do to protect their 'investment'.

hahaha. I used my printer for printing out Group On vouchers. And now that that's all down the drain, my printer is pretty much an ornament

I own 3 printers.

HP 1100C mono laser (cannot find compatible USB cables, so was a challenge to connect to current h/ware)
HP PSC 1200 colour inkjet print scan copy (runs out of ink at a phenomenal rate)
Samsung CLP315 (Colour laser printer) - Drum has lines etched into it, so not quite usable (R2k+ to replace drum)

Wife is a teacher, so printers are a necessary evil.

I have 3 printers:
Lexmark mono laser: Use it a lot in conjunction with my Epson scanner for documents.
Epson inkjet photo printer: Stopped using it due to jets always clogging up, and price of ink.
Canon Selphy: Bought it to print photos with instead of the Epson. Only one size, postcard, but at least never clogs up.

I can't imagine life without a printer. A paperless world is just wishful thinking.

With one kid in high school and and one at university, I change toner cartridges at least every 3 months. Had HP and Canon, but they were crap. Got a Samsung MF colour laser and it it beats the other brands hands down.
