Haven't used a tablet it ages! I sold mine last year because I always found myself using a laptop-which is more comfortable to use.

Kids, grandparents use to. It does make for easier video viewing than a phone though.

World is going Mobile

No

My tablet lies at home unused. Occasionally I'll do some browsing and there's an app I use for my baby but that's it.

It's a great consumption device, but for that money, I'd rather buy something that's great at authoring as well. Therein lies the problem.

Yes, I use it to browse the net and read e-books. Much easier to read on the big screen, but more mobile than a laptop. As always, I just want more memory.

I use my Note 10 tablet every day to read news papers (Pressreader).

Phone screen too small for newspapers and very cludgy on PC, works fine on 10" tablet.

Sometimes watch movies on 10" tablet, especially when travelling (Netflix, Showmax, etc).

Every day.

I use my tablet for customer visits to take notes and recordings, my wife uses hers in her rep job to show customers their new catalogues and to place orders. For recreation, I use my table for NaNoWriMo (I have a bluetooth keyboard), for gaming (table top roleplying games), for playing the occassional game, for reading at night, and for facebook / thechive / 9gag when chilling. Also use it for IMDB when watching series and movies.

I think tablets do have a place in the tech market, they're very handy and convenient gadgets to have around. I do not use it as I do not need it at the moment, if I had one, I doubt I would use it much.

Yup, My Xperia Z2 Tablet LTE, one of the better buys I ever made on a VC contract (if not the best).
Email / Browsing / Team viewer / E-books / sometimes portable hotpsot for my phone ... and anything else I might be in the mood for.

The only person in my family with a tablet is my 7 year old niece. I just don't quite see a need for one, it would just sit in the cupboard.

Use my nearly 1 year old 8inch tablet daily as a wifi hotspot... how long does the average mifi devices battery last? Most can hardly do a working day. My tablet over 24 hours. Ja ne!

Use my 4 year old 10inch tablet for YouTube videos in bed (its got on of those clip on things that makes it stand up at an angle).

My "new" 2 year old 10 inch tablet can handle the CCTV software so that is its job, lazing about on the bedside table (also on one of those clip on things).

I can see why tablet sales are lethargic...

My own 7", I use from time to time. Won't really miss it when it's gone though.
Kids on the other end, prefer tablets to phones. At least my daughter and her friends. They do a lot of Snapchat and Instagram like stuff. The cameras is worse than the phones, but that doesn't seem to bother the kids too much.

I just bought my dad a tab to replace his Nokia/Microsoft 505 piece of... and he can't put the damn thing down. :erm:
