Home-Connect ISP Feedback

Shew.. This chat took off! Just to add, I have been experiencing issues with connecting to RD servers as well as I noticed general internet not the best. I called them twice in the last week and they said it will be logged with MF. They didn't come back to me. I then logged a call on their portal and 3 days later nothing. Today I called them and they can't find my log even though I see it on their portal. I had to then screen shot the call that was logged to their support email. They then said it will be logged with MF and apologized. If they don't come back to me next week, will be canceling with them. Just need to find someone else. Sad thing is that where do you go? HC is the cheapest as well.
That is classic Home-Connect, they will NEVER act on your tickets or give you updates. You have to contact them constantly and beg for service!

i would have cancelled already.
I'm just waiting for the terms, it seems there could be penalties if cancelling within 12 months. I just need to know how much I will be liable for first.

i used them for 1 day a while back, asked them to release my line (vumatel trenched) which they did on the same day, paid the full month tho, 3 months later they email me about collecting router, gave them a date and time, that was 2 months ago, router still in it's box on top of the fridge.
they weren't my first isp, so i didn't have any installation charges.

I have all the idiots in my area crowing about how quick home connect came to install their vumatel lines. I can't wait for the complaints to start flooding the whatsapp groups.

probably will be fine as issue is with the FNO frogfoot/octotel/metro, not vuma.

time will tell.

Indeed.

Not sure what's so difficult to understand and more idiots are pointing blame at the wrong places

Oh well, I'm entirely happy with HC, and as pointed out before, when it all goes to shite, I'll just move on to the next best thing

rain 5G FTW!

Morning all, I'm too lazy to read 30 pages of comments. We recently got Vuma (trenched) installed. I'm considering going for their 50/50 or 100/100 option. We only stream and use social media; no gaming/downloads. Anyone utilising them for similar services?

Only 3 peeps at home. I think a 50mb connection will suffice. At the end of the day, I want a fast, stable connection. I don't want the hassle of calling the provider to resolve technical faults.

yeah i think 50mb is the sweet spot for performance and price in most cases.
