how come you are not getting over 400kB/s?
so are you saying that it is not common to do above 200kB/s while keeping normal waking hours?
what type of speeds do you get during the day?
My line is only 3.2MB
Thanks, means im screwed though, if it was 230 Days I would have had a chance.
"gathering information", ud think this is difficult to come by data for MWEB itself....scary thought.
is that your sync speed or speedtest result? cause 3.2Mbps = 400kB/s.
Yea MWEB Ops you may want to double check the retention period
so are you saying that it is not common to do above 200kB/s while keeping normal waking hours?
So there are 2 retention periods?
Obviously then I want to know the second one.
My line is only 3.2MB
For some reason I'm getting 0.5MB on my 4MB line. Its always been 100% perfect with mweb, and suddenly on Sat it slowed down? Not sure why.
I'm on 4MB uncapped, with a 4MB line. Line is 100%
Any help appreciated.
as a matter of interest, what lead you to go the unshaped route?
I must agree, the Torrents are very dissapointing i generally see 50-80kb/sec even at 2-3am
Sometimes you get a treat and it does 120-150kb/sec i have yet to see torrents do a full 450kb/sec on my line. I think im going to look at another uncapped offering.

MWEB OPS
I remember now it was said that mweb news server draws from a international news server, this would explain the secondary retention. What is this news server and what is the retention it provides to MWEB? This would give me the real answer to my question.
I think mweb news server mirrors saix news... which is updated using giga-news ...... (I do stand under correction)
