No Data connection but full signal

Been struggling with data throughput in the Bedfordview / Fishers Hill area since the beginning of the year. Logged a ticket with the network people two weeks ago and heard bugger all since. This week the throughput has dropped to nothing in spite of signal strength between 50 and 70 db

This is all smoke and mirrors, CellC knows about the issue and reports are that they are upgrading, which means they know where the fault is as obviously research would have had to be done before the funds were allocated to the upgrade. That being said, there is already a dedicated thread to this "info giving" over here which is stickied:

I haven't seen any of these people whos issues have been resolved, in fact some of them are complaining here too.
Stop giving your customers false hope and sort out the problem.

Exactly... they are trying to make it seem like they are collecting all this important info... Im also still waiting to hear back from them for the 2nd week now

Same problems in Cape Town, Brackenfell. Full signal, no data transfer, calls fail, maybe get them to go through on attempt 6 or 7. Incoming calls go to voicemail. Only SMS works. This is day 1 of a 2 year iPhone 5 contract. Doing a CPA cancellation now. I want out due to grounds of poor service

Seems I was wrong re:LTE, well good for the town people then. Normal 3G / Edge Service isn't working here in Durbanville (at least where I live)

I want out due to grounds of poor service and a coverage map that is false advertising (LTE is not even rolled out yet on Cell C to my knowledge yet its on the map).
Yes, it is:

Stop giving your customers false hope and sort out the problem.

Yeah, what does your IMEI number etc have to do with this?

IMEI? Prepaid/Contract? Oh come on! you tell me that you cant see a problem with the stats from your own systems? Either Cell C's systems are inferior and cannot produce any decent reports or the whole network investigation form is a technique to placate/fool customers into thinking Cell C is doing something about our problems...Unfortunately I think its both.

A lot actually, if you dont know how mobile networks work then dont make ureself look like a fool. Not all number ranges sit on the same network elements, are provisioned in the same way. The reason he asks is that this information could possibly point to a problem on a specific network element, such as a HLR or switch

With that said, my Cell C connection has most certainly degraded the last few weeks. Points to network congestion most likely and they need to attend to this urgently or people will start taking notice and the vodacom customers wont simply flock over anymore when their contracts run out

Actually IMEI is your device, which has nothing to do with the network, the info they are asking for they can get with nothing more than your number. Do you honestly think someone is databasing all the info people are posting. I didn't think so. The info is accessible on their systems. Bottom line is they know where loads are highest and most congested. Its all just smoke and mirrors

Oh and btw, there is a new cellphone tower going up not 1km from my initial complaint. Whether its a cellc tower seems to be determined.

My connection is working at the moment! For the first time since I switched to Cell C! :D Man I hope it continues working throughout the evening!

10 PM my connection disappeared after five hours of solid connectivity (I relented earlier tonight and tried the Cell C SIM again) - So after spending 15 mins ranting on the phone with cell c customer service, as if by magic this happens http://www.speedtest.net/result/2522922515.png (9.43Mb/s down, 2.32Mb/s up, 40ms)..... mmmmm, do I smell a rat?

My connection stopped working at around 8:30pm last night. It was the first time that it actually worked in the evening though.
