I'm not a paying customer, so any service I get is more than I would have had, so I can't complain.

Having said that, If I were a paying customer, I would be furious about the packet loss issue. The fact is, that your customers are paying for a level of service that they're not receiving. I really hope you've got plans to make amends to your customers who have remained loyal to you even though the service wasn't up to code. This isn't just a problem that occurred overnight.

It did actually start out of the blue, and it's a problem at cybersmart. My money's on it being rectified next week as people are moved to the new network.

I've noticed that people have had issues with D3 for some time now. I have been watching this thread since long before I was given an account with them.

For what it's worth local latency is the best I've had with any ISP. Just a pity that it's meaningless with all the packet loss.

EDIT: I'd bet that the new network will be IS based. No one can offer a more rock solid backbone than them.

+1 to that. Should have started with them in hindsight. When I heard they were going with cybersmart backbone, I thought meh, didn't have good experience the last time I tried them, is the main reason I didn't jump on, and now my perception is even more reinforced after following these threads.

One thing i will say is CW has FANTASTIC tech support. Thanks for sorting me out in quick time. This makes me smile and soothes over the pains im having with CW. Roll on the improvements !

Cw is big bad joke from my 2 week experience

They've had teething problems, and in my opinion Cybersmart have not done them any favours, but they are a decent bunch of guys and I reckon some time in 2015 they will become one of the best if not the best ISPs.

I've had a preview of the new network. I think your "some time" will be this month based on what I'm seeing.

Yes, I too am new to the CW fold, and I can attest to this in a big way. I'm going to give them a chance to make good on the network changes.

I have never seen netflix using so much bandwidth. It's capable of pulling 8Mb/sec now - never saw more than 5 on the old network, even in the "good old" days.

I am contemplating moving from WA to CW.

Are both equally good or is CW better than WA. (This will be capped accounts.)

I use the internet for work during the day and PS4 gaming at night.
