@CW any updates on telkom having reverted line upgrades for a few clients?

Should all have been processed and completed. But it should be noted that their new ASSIA system auto-scales the sync itself and ISPs no longer have access to regrade lines. We have to request it manually from Telkom these days.

Check with support on the progress of this - they're online today, and the bloke who manages DSL line issues is on the support desk too, so he'll have a more up-to-date "grip" of the situation than I do right now.

Yes, the new capped data pricing is available on the website now with the associated pricing and features. Summer Promo customers will be moved to the most appropriate package at the end of March 2015, with sufficient notice sent as well.
Why no straight capped accounts without the "free" nightsurfer data?

Moving from R170 for 100GB which I use during nightsurfer time anyway to R395 for 120GB (incl 480GB "free" nightsurfer data) isn't going to work for me I'm afraid.

Because since we launched capped, just about every request for the evolution of the product has been to introduce free night-time data. In addition, the summer promo capped pricing we ran as a massive loss leader and the pricing was always going to change.

The difficulty in putting together product ranges is that not all will be suitable for everyone. Some want a straight capped account. Others want rollover data. Others want free night-time data. Some want a combination. But few people wish to pay for quality capped bandwidth as some ISPs have set a precedent for cheap capped data pricing in the market, which is hardly indicative of real-world costs and is very often reflected in its performance. Not all networks are equal, and not all bandwidth is equal, and we're typically catering for quality internet connections over cheap accounts for the sake of being cheap and nothing more.

Will do. Thanks

A pity as I would have liked to have Crystal Web in my armoury of backup accounts but I can't justify it at that price point :(

How are the capped accounts different to Web Africa?

A couple of rand cheaper and there is a '600gb + 2400gb free' package. WA max is a 400gb + 1600gb option.

Still seeking clarity on the cut off time. Is it 12am-6am or 12am-7am?!!! WA is 12am-6am...

How many concurrent connections on these capped accounts? WA offers 4...

It's 12am to 6am for midnight data. And no calendar month's notice for now, but we will need to introduce this in the next few months.

I'm referring to the shaping on the actual network. What happened to the dual network back bone and are we able to now pay via Credit Card?

So make us your primary instead. :p
Sorry, no offence, but you're still the newcomer on the block and I need stability in my business - you've changed my login details three times in 7 weeks

... lets see how things stand next year, all the best until then :)

2 for now. May look to increase this.

I'll have a chat internally and see if we can do this, but if you're interested I can customise it to 4 for you when you sign up.

My guess is this is the exact same package as those sold by WA, using the IS backbone and in no way manipulated or shaped by CW. CW would simply be reselling these IS capped accounts.

EDIT: I stand under correction though...

Thanks.

Ah, terrible mistake on our part there. Thanks for letting me know. Will make that change asap.

Good stuff.

Last question and a fairly critical one:

What would your cancellation period on these accounts be? WA is a calendar month, which kind of sucks!!
