Did news servers just die ? getting alot of failed login errors
Can you use the is news server instead for now? Best configuration is IS primary and our premium as secondary...
No problem. news.is.co.za on port 119. No username or password necessary. It will authenticate on the IP. I keep max connections there to 6. Haven't tested the limits there yet...Thanks for providing an alternative.
Should be sorted. Spotted an issue with your provisioning that I fixed...
When was it mailed? Please also check your emails re: Telkom work and bear in mind load shedding is adding other troubles in the mix.
When was it mailed?
I haven't received any mail.
Please note that for at least the next 7 days, and possibly until the end of this month, Telkom will be upgrading most exchanges around South Africa. During this time, your Telkom exchange may go offline for up to 7 hours, and you may have difficulty synchronising with the Telkom network entirely, and authenticating on ISP accounts. Throughput during this time may also be reduced should Telkom move capacity over their redundant links to prevent downtime for any unforeseen or preventative reasons. Should this happen to your line, please do not be alarmed, as this is an expected process while these overdue upgrades and maintenance take place on the Telkom network.
Note that this is not an ISP fault should it occur, but you are welcome to get in touch with us to confirm if need be.
Also please note that Crystal Web’s Support staff will be offline tomorrow (Saturday 21 March 2015) to celebrate the Human Right’s Day public holiday. We all wish you a very happy Human Right’s Day, and hope that it reminds us of the great strides we have taken as a country, and recommits us all to the work required to maintain the rights we all deserve.
Have a fantastic weekend.
Regards
Crystal Web
Yesterday. I'll repost it here for you:
I'd like to begin configuring my internal home network with a little QoS (still have a bit of a learning curve to get through but it's going). I've heard some ISPs don't allow this or remove QoS tags and whot not... will this be the case with a CW uncapped account, both in respect of inbound QoS and outbound QoS?
QoS on your side will work without a hassle.
Fantastic!
