Wait wait, so that means that you WILL hit the 200gb mark to be shaped even if you restrict your downloading to after hours? And the word promotion worries me, does this imply you guys plan to change this at a later date and remove the 200GB of unshaped data?

Not if you're on the package, no. You'll stay on it.
But all usage counts towards, well, usage.

New customers who signed up in the last month and didn't receive news server login details can now use their crystalweb username and password to access the news server.
so I haven't used the news server yet and to be honest I've never used one before

@CW rep, just wanted to say that General Support from the live chat was extremely helpful and was able to tailor a package to suit my needs, unfortunately I will be testing this package out from December should my current ISP suffer anymore issues, none the less great support from a very informed support personnel....
So...sounds like the capped accounts are completely unshaped according to support? Like really completely all day long no matter the protocol? (NNTP?) If this is true I am joining at end of the month...sounds like internet bliss to me!

I'm also a complete noob when it comes to news servers. Any suggestions on search engines/indexers or whatever you call it to find stuff to download?

News server = missing blocks. www.quicktorrent.io or similer = always good.
Yes that's true but with the right news server that problem hardly ever pops up, plus when configured with sickbeard then you would have no problems with regards to TV series....But I hardly ever have issue with missing articles and blocks....

Yeah I must admit that I looked for old stuff back then. Way before the 2000 days, but yeah most stuff is broke after 2 years.
