Had a bit of heavy rain this morning, but that was it.

Seriously, this storm is worse than the one last year when the warnings shut the whole of CT down......wowzers. ....it's rough out there

Agreed, this is soft rainfall in Stellenbosch, but it is a lot of water. I can already see a few small dams. But I'm not complaining, we need the water.

Showers were very patchy around lunchtime today (Mon 21st), some areas definitely got more than others (in addition to the mountains). Clearing from the west this afternoon.



At 1.05pm there was a line of showers from Melbosstrand to Durbanville, and another west of Stellenbosch.

WC still receiving below normal, or at best just barely what is considered "normal" rainfall so far for this time of the year.

Everywhere else is pretty much what is considered "normal" or slightly above normal rainfall so far for the year. Not enough to break the drought yet.

So the prediction was 100% rain this morning and I reluctantly took the car instead of the bike. Almost made it to work without a single drop and then the heavens opened. So wet I managed to execute a sick handbrake turn into my parking bay . Would have been drenched on the bike. Let's hope this goes on all day.

LOL, actually that 5 has a really nice cream leather interior, looks better that the boring 3 that sometimes occupy the bay. But the 3 is driven by they nice looking chick with a tattoo in her neck and the 5 is driven by some metro guy. Come to think of it the chick only stays a kilometer away, I cycle past her house sometimes.
