yeah it was disappointing but it looks like things are picking up, two big showers came down now
Yeh coming down again now. Still not the storm they made it out to be. Feel sorry for those homeless individuals though, because we really do need this rain, but also a bit sad for those out on the roads

Yeah I expected worse. But the winds were pretty hectic at times, and it rained and even hailed a little here. The weather forecast really made it out to be much worse than it ended up being.

That said, I dont feel like sitting in traffic either way.
Well it's bucketing down now

The worst of it slid past southe of the country. But wait the next round is on its way.
Our roads were clear about 10 or so mins ago. It's pouring down now, and just like that, boom, it's flooded :D sorry boss, can't make it to work today lol

Road flooded in cape flats. Not a car in sight in my area.

Trees were blown over, we really feeling it this side of the world.

Closing schools and putting the air force on standby for this???

Anyone recall late August 2008? THAT was a storm, and it didn't even come with any doom prophecies like today's non-event.

Wind was hectic, had stuff blowing all over the place. But not nearly as bad as they were predicting.

I can't see what all the fuss was about.
The most dangerous thing on the roads was still idiots driving with their high beams.

I have honestly driven through worse during an afternoon thunderstorm in Jo'burg.

Lank upset, took the day off work to walk on the beadh in the rain, awoke this morning to not a single cloud in the sky...

They said the cold fromt was sooooooo big it would be hitting southern Namibia, nothing, just blerrie wind..... Not a drop of h2o....

And if the storm turned out as the WEATHER SERVICE predicted, and the CITY did nothing - "why didn't the city prepare, blah blah useless bunch, we all saw it coming "

It was quite windy in the night - my dog kept waking me and running to the windows with an excited look.of wtf!!

Lots of branches in road and a few trees fallen over and some flooding in the southern subburb.

Only a handfull of cars on the road - little windy but nothing major driving towards town.
