Is it a long running unit? Our proline ups has died, it lasted all of 5min with loadshedding today and it's always been plugged into the wall socket.
Now I do have an Osaka gel battery and charger and this cable from the ups with 3 prong plug point.... So what do I need to get connect the gel battery to this multiplug thing?
I've got this charger thing so now sure how to use it with the gel battery do I just leave it plugged in?

Thanks. I get it now. Any recommendations on a good inverter that's decent on the pocket?Multiplugthing needs something to plug into to convert the 12v -> 220v,they are known as inverters
The UPS is a rudimentary inverter and charger combo
Forum swears by the Mecer units, there's a huge thread to search inThanks. I get it now. Any recommendations on a good inverter that's decent on the pocket?
Yeah normal upses aren't really designed for long usageI've been using the proline ups since early November last year
Stock and sell these all the time, brilliant little things and have tested it to last around 5 hours for a standard ONT and Router. Just beware, the Y cable splitter for the ONT/Router is around 15cm.Anyone got this UPS? R485 seems like a really good deal. @Yuu

I also just use a 7.2AH brick battery. Bought a 300w inverter like this one from this place https://www.electromannsa.com/produ...watt-dc-to-ac-inverter?variant=15468755746888Thanks. I get it now. Any recommendations on a good inverter that's decent on the pocket?
Ironically there doesn't seem to be a single cable on that page that will work. Remember we need male-to-male cable.
Anywhere that sells DC cables? Like its probably easier to build your own or find a bunch on takealot. Uniterm tend to have some but only 1m.Speaking of which. Where's the best place to get DC cables for these things?
The crazy thing is I've actually looked around a bit and they're more scarce than one would imagine. I was at Communica a couple of weeks ago and they wanted to charge some stupid amount (I think about R25) per connector. I do see now they have cheaper one's on their website - I'll scratch around for those next time I'm there.Anywhere that sells DC cables?
