Weight Loss Thread 2014

The majority of people in this thread are following some form of LCHF eating plan (not a diet per se). The overall principle whether it's paleo, Banting or whatever version, is the reduction of carbohydrate intake and increase in healthy fat intake.

I guess I was looking for something more "tried and tested", a plan that one of you guys are following.

@Camikaze - the great thing about this is that it's a lifestyle, not just a diet. So many of us are eating so many different things and at different times, etc and yet the results are for the most part, good to awesome. You can tailor it around how you want to do it. Grab the basic info like what not to touch and what is good and just roll with it until you settle. It's the best thing I have found that works, in years.

Some awesome food and pics there guys.

Really loving this bread. I cut the slices really thinly then toast them a bit.

Omelette with jalapenos, chorizo, mozarella and gouda, with flaxseed bread.

Same bread toasted then added chorizo and mozarella, then put under the grill.

6 drum sticks
6 liters of diet soda
Extreme heat

Equals agggg not the healthiest meal. Almost pukey

ok wait, so you reduce carbs (potatoes / rice etc) and increase fat (butter / oil / mayo / bacon / meat fat etc) and it makes you lose weight? Sorry, there so many pages to read through but if someone can be as kind as to give a short breakdown of what this eating habit entails please?

It was weird, I didn't eat well today (at all really), and when I finally got around to it, I made a HIDEOUSLY oily egg concoction, with the skin of a whole chicken fried up into it.

This is how my previous eating patterns were - Starvation, then an utter rampage of food.

As I was about to dish up, my brain suggested that this was total overkill, and I halved the portion, and now I have a breakfast ready. Totally sated now.

It's amazing how your body and mind learn together.

Pretty much. But I doubt you need this.

Here's a start. You have it, sort of, but it's a bit more complex than that (what isn't?):

Highly recommend the book.

Weigh-in Week 2:

99.4kg.

That makes for another 2kg and a total of 4.6kg in 2 weeks. Extremely happy with that.

It is the first time in 6 years that I have not tipped the scale above 100kg.
