Does anyone here now of a reliable line-speed monitoring software that also keeps tabs on how much bandwidth has been used?

How would I move an ADSL account. I am moving home soon. The place I am moving to has the basic ADSL service (1GB, 384). I have 5GB at 512. I suppose it would be easy enough to just upgrade the service where I am moving but I guess that I want to keep my email address.

Both services are from Telkom so it can't be the workd's biggest issue, just how do I go about setting it all up?

You can try www.computersonly.co.za, I got my billion there - they also stock the wireless version as well. (R550.00 and R849.00)

The cap's are always the combined total of downloads & uploads. Thus if you download 1 GB and upload 4 GB, you'll be capped.
Lately I've been able to download a couple of MB more than the cap limit on the IS local only accounts. Like I got 32.5GB off a 30GB account

My internet was offline since 9:30am this morning. I called Telkom and was holding for about 15 - 20min till someone picked up. While I was holding I went to the kitchen and made lunch and eventually I heard someone saying hello because my phone was on speaker phone. I told them what the problem was and they checked my ADSL line and nothing was wrong. They said I should phone my ISP who is Afrihost. They also checked my line and said there was no problem and I should phone Telkom again but on a different number. The first time I phoned 10215. The second time I phoned 0800 375 375. On the second number I held on for about 3-5min till someone picked up. Why don't they put that number on the back of the phone bills?

Anyways, it turned out that the problem was with Telkom and that the line needed to be re-synced and the port re-assigned. I restarted my modem and my internet went on immediately.

These guys are really unhelpful and it weird that there there was "no" problem the first time?
