I have had it installed and running since it launched in the Sammy store. Shared the link with mates and family (family were die hard BBM users before moving to S3's and S4's).
Still not one single family member or mate has installed it. None of them interested. Say whatsapp is better than BBM (previous experience on BB's). Have told them to just install it and try it out. Judge after seeing. Still not interested
Will give it to the weekend, then remove it if still no interest.

I'm having the same issue especially with apple fanbois. Somehow trying bbm is beneath them. It's just a chat client sheesh. Won't take up any more space on your phone. And then I can use it to msg you so that I can see if you've read my msg. Unlike whatsapp.
I really don't understand how this point keeps coming up as a major selling point for this app. If I send you a message, you read it when you read it, same for e-mail. if it's urgent, I'll pick up a phone and call you. Simple.

So far...
Cons:-
1) Seems to be a battery drain
2) Sometimes crashes when inserting emoticons.
3) Not sure if it's because of the higher resolution, emoticons don't look as good. They're too...smooth?

it hasn't crashed on me yet and I don't see any noticeable battery drain. S3 mini

What gets on my nerves is that it is staying memory resident despite not allowing me to log on because I am queued. And I am 1 of the idiots who preregistered, so am also irritated that Joe public is able to logon having just registered a few hours ago

That's it! I'm not waiting any longer. I downloaded the app on Monday night already and no matter what I do, I can't get in! No email, no nothing.
I really had high hopes for this, but it seems, like most blackberry products, its a failure!
So i'm going back to whatsapp and iMessage. They haven't failed me yet.

Seems that people that hate BlackBerry automatically hates BBM and will find the smallest reasons to be annoyed by it 
Anyway, I have everyone on WhatsApp, but I've got BBM running smoothly as well. I'm pretty much impartial. Strange thing is that most of my contacts that have BBM, are now no longer communicating to me via WhatsApp, but via BBM. So what I'm seeing here is that BBM might not be the 'too-little-too-late' failure everyone expects it to be.

No extra battery drain whatsoever on my S4, and it hasn't crashed yet
The emoticons could be a bit bigger though, they are almost microscopic on a 1080p display"What is this, an IM for ants?"

How do you guys get this to work ? , tried the force stop , intall and uninstall . No luck , been waiting since Monday evening for an email .

I just installed this app last night. Didnt bother yet with the email etc. But this morning i am seeing an increase in battery drain. Its only 09h21, and i am already down to 72% after a full charge last night. Normally i am in the 90% mark.
My phone is a SGS3 - stock firmware 4.1.2
