BBM for Android, iPhone arrives

Settings: Uncheck: PERVERT PROTECTION

No I have friends and we like to share photos. In WhatsApp we can do this but only people with actual Blackberrys can share photos in groups. I wonder if this functionality will ever come to iOS/Android.

I love BBM but WhatsApp still wins because of this and voice notes are so much quicker to record and send.

Finally got the mail just now. I select "I got the email" but nothing happens. FFS RIM!!!!!!!!

Those of you who prefer Whatsapp I would really like to hear why. You say BBM wont stay on your device, but I want to hear your reasons.
It has already been brought up that you can't share pics in groups with the Android version. But whatelse?

Read the mail first.

I did.

1. Open BBM
(If for some reason you’ve deleted BBM, visit BBM.com from your Android or iPhone browser to download it again)

2. If you are prompted to “Enter your email address to check if you can start using BBM”, enter the email address exactly as it appears above
- or -
if you are on the ‘We’re holding your spot in line’ page, click "I got the email"

3. Get started with BBM!

^^ not working

me? I wont even install it. I asked for the apk cause I wanna unpack it and play with it a bit. But I don't need BBM on any of my android devices. I said on another thread, I know, as in for real like, one mate who has a BB, the rest? I don't care, we all communicate via whatsapp, including the guy I know has a BB, so you tell me, why should I install BBM?

Sometimes features are the important issue. For IM the most important issue will be around what app the people with whom you wish to communicate are using. A bunch of features you can't use because you've nobody to talk to is unimportant.

Yeah whatsapp will remain my personal preference as well. If only there was a way to get rid of that last seen status update.
There is in iOS so I'm surprised it's not available on Android.

BBM is works and looks great on my S4. Alot more responsive than Whatsapp and Hangouts. If anything, this should push the IM devs to work harder to improve their features.

As I understand it only hides other people's status. Others can still see yours.

In iOS it says "Turn OFF to not allow or show last seen timestamp" so I'd lean towards not revealing it to others and yourself.
