I go lower in the range for expensive meals and higher for cheaper ones. For really bad service, I have no problem giving zero, or significantly more for exceptionally good service.

In the states it's downright slavery tbh.I don't give tips. Restaurants should pay their staff properly and build it into the price. I think the current setup is very scammy
