Its also applys to different cultures. Im married to an Afrikaaner (again) and constantly had problems with family.

Same here, initially is was all 'trots op jou taal' type BS. Got a lot of flack because I am primarily Afr, but very bilingual as I have English family. After 17 years of marriage they know I dont give a **** about what language I speak, so they lay off.
