And those sons of bitches haven't opened a branch of CM11 for your device yet? The nerve. You should burn their building down and take someone hostage...

If you're really keen to get 4.4 then OmniRom already has a "stable(ish)" nightly for the S2. It is very light on features at the moment, but it does allow for OTA updates. And switching to ARM from Dalvik is insanely fast and smooth. I had it on my Note 2 for a while but the lack of features led me back to CM10.2...
Yesterday I changed my Samsung Galaxy S3 (International) from stock 4.1.2 to Cm 10.2 (4.3.1) and the problem I am currently having is my battery is getting chowed like crazy, I was expecting the Cm ROM to be more power efficient than the stock ROM but this is defiantly not the case and my battery lasts much longer on the stock ROM that I had.
Also I think I found a bug, but I'm not quite sure: http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/83713-cm-102-performance-profile-not-working/
Anyone have any tips for improving battery life for me please? Otherwise I think I will be going back to a stock ROM.
CM should give you excellent battery life, but bugs do creep in. I'm running a CM11 ROM and battery life is awesome.
It's absolutely terrible for me, far worse than stock ROM. Not sure what is the problem.![]()

Lots of other people complaining about the poor battery life aswell:

Anyone else having problems, or noticing poorer battery life?
Update: Thinking of giving this a try: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2291100
Try switching over to carbon rom. I was also running CM10.2 and noticed a significant battery drain. Then read about carbon and switched over, the battery life is much better.
Thanks I think I will give it a try.
I am new to the whole "modding" experience. I took the plunge & used the CM installer to install CM 10.2.20131114 Snapshot on my S3 about 2 weeks back.
I see that a new release version is out 10.2. Do I update using the installer again or is their another way to install the latest release. If I check for updates via the phone it says that there are no updates available.
The CM installer has it's on range of roms, different from what's on their website. I found this quiet odd, but they say there will be an update soon. Just download the new rom and flash it onto your device.
THanks, since I am staying with CM do I need to wipe data/cache etc before installing updated ROM?

How's the battery life on the stable cm10.2 on i9300??
I think I have a bug on the latest stable 10.2 for the i9300.
Can someone try to replicate please:
Go to dialer -> Call history -> Select a number that is not in your contacts -> Add to contacts -> Start typing in find contacts.
Contacts crashes: "Unfortunately, Contacts has stopped".![]()
