The weight loss thread

Varies every day and depends on what is available at home. Avo, water, cucumber, yogurt, peanut butter, hot milk + homemade almond+cashew nut powder. And yeah, one banana a day as it apparently helps with my BP
Careful of peanut butter. Loads of carbs.

/edited for clarity - on Atkins post induction you're allowed most nuts, but not peanuts as they're not true nuts but are legumes and are quite starchy

Yeah, I probably have 1 tablespoon of peanut butter once in a week so not a problem hopefully but my diet is legume based since forever. Lentils, beans and so on. That is the only way I can get some protein, being a eggetarian so can't really avoid starch that way. Google search indicates "Legumes are one of the best sources of resistant starch" so it should be ok I think.

1.7KG down in the last 7 days. Feels like its moving slowly.
Dude, that is 1700 calorie deficit per day for 7 days and quite an achievement. I am on about 700 calorie deficit per day and know what it takes so 1700 is absolutely crazy level. Well done.

I think this was a bit of a recovery week for my body after the sudden change last week. Also ate stuff I shouldn't, just to see how far I could push boundaries...

As of this morning: 82.1kg

Progress is slow but I'm not actively pushing myself too much.

If I can break 80kg for an extended period I'll be chuffed.
brilliant!! thats not slow progress! that awesome. well done.

This is really great progress. You have managed to be consistent for more than a year with almost 1kg loss per month.

Tried belt on trousers as need to go to office tomorrow. Need to punch a new hole as the last one is loose so happiness all around. I will probably do it using drillbit as I don't have belt hole puncher.

Se. It's not always about what the scale says

The boep can still hold on even if you lose cm around the waist. Dropped 2 pant sizes and there's still a [smaller] boep clinging on for dear life.
Yeah but in my case, I have to see what happens after losing another 15kg. 30% body fat as per FitDays app. :)

 On that topic, on YT, there is a recent trend of 6-pack fitness peeps showing of their small/soft belly to dispel the myth that they have visible 6-packs ALL the time.

Yeah, most of the fitness influencers rely on specific lighting/poses etc. to look their best. Plus you need to be like under 10% body fat for a 6-pack to start to show.

Only down 1KG for the past 7 days. I didn't think I would lose any this week as I had quite a bit more beer than usually on Saturday. Going to be interesting to see what happens with the two long weekends ahead. Will try and stick to the normal eating routine.

Slow and steady progress after the initial crazy week. I'll take it, I'm still on the starter dose for the next week, going up a level after that. Not being fastidious about the low carbing, still experimenting to find the sweet spot between continuing to lose and being able to have the odd bit of pasta or bread occasionally.
