MTN SuperSonic Feedback

A month later, my line hasn't been cancelled. Was told i don't have to pay anything after cancelling during trial. Sandile from cancellations was supposed to call me about 2 weeks ago. Now i'm forced to continue using them because i can't get another provider till they release my line.

Lodge a complaint with ISPA. They quickly respond then.

Got a follow up call from Ray this afternoon confirming a substantial IPC rate limit increase and assuring me that IPC congestion is a thing of the past.

So far it's been flying.

Seems like your ISP take you seriously. I hope they treat all client's the same way. It's good news when that happens. If I need to change providers, your feedback has been of valuable use. Enjoy.

They really frustrated me at times because the issues were beyond first line support but I had to deal with them so that was frustrating. I do appreciate that they gave me a discount credit and an extra free month to say sorry. Supersonic has a super network that really works well.

Obviously I can't speak about other networks performance like Vumatel metofibre ect but if you are on Openserve Supersonic IS the fibre ISP to be on. :)

Ohh and let me not forget to mention the quality of Openserve fibre. Zero packet loss on my line. Did not go down once since installed and is always online during loadshedding no matter how many slots of loadshedding and we've been getting like 3 times minimum since Saturday.

I have had 2 instances this week where my line has disconnected for about 10 seconds then came back on. Any ideas on that?

This is what I'm getting right now on my gigabit line with Home-connect....

Yeah no good. You have been struggling longer than I have with the IPC issue. I think it might be time to call it quits on home-connect?

@cavedog I finally decided to follow your guide on gaining access to the router but I cannot even get to the admin page even when the wan cable is unplugged and just the ethernet to pc in connected.

I get an error saying "this site can't be reached"
"192.168.1.1 took too long to respond".

Any ideas?

Are you sure its not 192.168.0.1?

CMD reports my default gateway to be 192.168.1.1

I just set ip manually to 192.168.1.10 as well as tried 192.168.0.1 and still the same error. I am with vumatel and they use dhcp instead of pppoe, could that be the reason?

I just tried on my phone with wifi to see if I can at least get to the login page but same error, see below.Screenshot_20190320-151135.png

Reset your router with just your laptop set to auto dhcp connected NOT in the wan port. Then check your network status for your gateway ip.
