MTN SuperSonic Feedback

Tonight I noticed some IPC congestion again. Seems it's time for them to upgrade their IPC capacity again.

Im also looking for an ISP. Don't go with Cool Ideas. Terrible Hellopeter complaints, many people have experienced double debits, issues with international traffic & bad customer service.

If you have an issue with them you have to complain here & hope for the best.

Home Connects reviews seem too good to be true on Hellopeter but the overall view is they are a decent company.

I was considering Websquad but they don't seem to offer anything on Frogfoot.

As mentioned we don't believe in MyBB, pretty much all the comments around international are around FNO related issues. If they are our own we happily admit so and what the plans for resolution is.
 
@cavedog Please keep us posted on the Supersonic IPC issue. As they are a possible ISP for me in the near future.

They already confirmed the issue and say as soon as Openserve upgrades the capacity they will let me know but they are aware of the issue. Probably going to be like 2 or 3 weeks then it's sorted. Happened before and they sorted it out so I expect the same will happen again.

Great stuff! We know that Openserve can take their sweet time, but on the contrary it is well worth the wait :)

Might be resolved. I've seen great improvement. Will do tests tonight around 19:30 and tomorrow to be 100% sure because that is usually when the congestion creeps in. :)
 
Long weekend... people might be way. So might just be the christmas effect (tm) :D

Yes it's local. I'm not really surprised though considering how many big international company have peering points in JHB,DUR and CPT. Also helps a lot if the ISP has decent peering I guess. When you really start to study the traffic and peering you will be amazed that very little traffic actually goes over a undersea cable nowadays hence the 1Gbps Vumatel offering for cheap.

Level3/Centurylink peers at NAP Africa in JHB and CPT. So I guess Origin(EA) is using them as a content delivery provider.

Hi Guys, anybody know why my international speeds on a 50/5 line maxes out at about 5 down and 6 up? Supersonic with Vuma infrastructure.
 
K, just did a speedtest on my laptop. Line giving full speed but on my note 9 its maxing out on the above. Must be a setting or a limitation of the android app.
 
@cavedog any idea why I cannot enter my router landing page at all, when entering 192.168.1.1 it just says the site can be reached on all browsers.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
