I'm having problems of late during a gaming season. Latency issues makes the game unplayable.
Latency goes up to 2850ms far cry from the ideal 200ms.
This happened over the last two day's. Time frame between 17H00 and 20H00.
Last night i tried to do a pathping to blizzard that failed to the 3rd hop which is Telkom.
If i ping Telkom IP sub 15ms replies. I also cant us WinMTR. It shows always 70% packet loss.
In real terms i would not even be able to use your reporting structure or either play online.

Is there a way that you guys could monitor the line and find out where the problem lay's.
When i switch over to the backup account i don't see these problems.

I have PMd you, but figured I'd update here if easier too.

As it turns out, on Tuesday your DSLAM was moved to the new Telkom BNG network. Unfortunately this gateway has had a few troubles the last few days, but we've been informed that it was fixed this morning and should be working now 100%. Please do let me know how it goes this evening as per my PM to you. :)

Any ETA on when the customer portal is going to be functional again? At the moment the usage/accounts tab is blank, and the invoices tab now also gives an error.
 
Telkom will control that routing to the various ISP data centres, but the routing can be a little different depending on a number of factors (like where IPC is purchased and what IPC is purchased on what equipment). It's not all the same equipment either depending on a few factors.

OK so that could explain why ISP A works fine and ISP B doesn't- a congested telkom link between the exchange and the IPC breakout - that only affects one ISP and not the other?

We're busy working on that at the moment. We should have all final testing completed in the next two weeks for the portal. The credit card payments are tied to that, and the new website. Over the next few weeks you can expect to see some awesome changes on the front-end side of things, as well as new and better functionality coming in to the portal(s), as well as new products.

Or just faulty equipment at the exchanges as well.
 
@CW, TelkomZA said they set my port back to 20mbs. I've confirmed this and will be monitoring.

Your service is top notch. I have not seen this from any other ISP. It all happened in the background (PM style).

I must agree.
I was about to leave and join another ISP, because I decided to change to a capped account.

I was then offered the same account at CW and I didn't hesitate for a second.

The service levels at the other ISP was a concern for me and when I received the offer for the same account, but via CW, it was an easy decision.

The previous history ito service delivery prompted me to gladly accept.

Guess who's 20mb dsl line is also suddenly running at 10Mb. Fml telkom
 
Flip, live streaming is horrendous atm.
