P2P is P2P - it's a protocol. The only time we can identify it differently is if it's a game (occasionally, and even this is very difficult).

P2P streaming is just about impossible to actually offer "support" for either. There is no way for us to know who you're connecting to and what's going on.

Interntional traffic is totally screwed up tonight, on crystalweb and on vox.
 
Streaming the Real Madrid game from SuperSport is horrific.

Keeps stopping every couple of seconds. It's infuriating.

Tried to contact support but they are offline it seems. Not good, not good at all.

I see, but is it a static form of shaping where everyone is shaped to x% when network is at y% or could it be more dynamic to allow for small P2P connections to allow for things like games and streaming to work based on bandwidth over z seconds in a period so people couldn't use it for large transfer.


Seems possible since you guys do manage your own IPC, trying to stream a movie over P2P because it's not on Netflix and can't get more than 1.7Mbs downn.
 
Not overly excited about the NNTP servers - no line speed at all during normal hours....

On my 10meg line - it keeps hovering from 300K to 500K - I was used to 1M dl.

using news / news1 crystalweb servers.

Also after midnight there is no marked improvement at all....

It's variable, but variable per second is nigh on impossible. It checks every minute and reallocates what it can to low priority protocols depending on demand for higher priority protocols.

There is, BTW, no such thing as P2P streaming. Streaming operates on its own protocols. P2P is downloading. The fact that it allows you to watch the download live doesn't make it a streaming protocol. It's still identified as P2P and treated as such, and this is almost impossible to change as it's layer 7 based, not source based.
 
Just logged onto my WA capped and international loads quickly and without problems. Switch to crystalweb, pages just time out and fail to even load, including mybroadband.
 
Dropped to 60kBs on a privately tracked torrent with 2000 seeds
 
F##king great. I missed the 2 goals from RM :mad: So pissed off right now.
 
I have a Premium Business Capped account and I am happily streaming Netflix HD and Raspberry Pi HD without any issues - Big Bay, Cape Town.

I am very impressed with CW.... :D

I've cancelled with CW, I'll rather just stick to a high capped WA account.

Identical performance profiles. As in literally, they do the same things at the same times for the same reasons, on capped, except premium where we've built new controllers from scratch...
